🍓 🚜 Empowering berry farmers in Moldova As climate change challenges agriculture, we help farmers build a resilient, sustainable, and competitive future. We provided five strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry farmers investments to boost their climate resilience:

Recent flooding in Raqqa, northern #Syria, has left many internally displaced families struggling to meet urgent needs. With support from the UN OCHA's Syria Humanitarian Funds, we provided cash assistance to 600 families living in informal settlements.

In the Philippines, we work with schools to strengthen preparedness and ensure education continues during crises. Schools within extended danger zones near Mount Mayon are supported to develop contingency and continuity plans, so safety comes first, while learning is sustained.

Along Ukraine's border with Russia, communities face regular shelling. We're making sure that doesn't stop children from learning. With @ec.europa.eu support, we installed solar panels, batteries, & boilers at a school—guaranteeing power & heat, even when shelling cuts electricity elsewhere.

1/3 In northern #Afghanistan, we’re helping families recover from drought & income loss. Supported by the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (OCHA funds), we provided 1,570 families cash-for-food assistance, and animal feed to 1,953 families to protect their livestock.

🌍🤝 Following the devastating earthquake in Venezuela, we're supporting trusted local partners through our Local Responders Fund and coordinating the response with @alliance2015.bsky.social members.

Last week, the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026) brought governments, international organisations, civil society and the private sector together to shape Ukraine’s future.

🔷 We participated in the IIED London Climate Resilience Finance Summit, where conversations on adaptation finance keep returning to the same point: durable resilience depends on strengthening the local ecosystems and civil society actors who are present in the country long before a crisis.

We are in London this week for London Climate Action Week 2026, joining partners and policymakers to discuss among other things how climate resilience is built and sustained at local level.

As Ukraine continues to endure constant bombardment, we assure the Ukrainian community that our team in-country will be there with them.

Without our partners, we would be unable to deliver assistance at speed and scale. For us, localisation is about reinforcing the role of local—in this case Ukrainian—organisations, communities, and systems in humanitarian response and recovery, as well as in the overall coordination.

The future of humanitarian assistance and recovery belongs to local leaders—this is a simple truth. This award shows we are on the right path and that our partners trust us as much as we trust them.

In a week that saw Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian population reach fever pitch, it is vital to remember that whilst Ukrainians continue to show tremendous courage and fortitude, we need to do more to enable them to rebuild their homes and communities.

Our colleague Susan Maswili is in #Nairobi this week, to participate at the #ICT4D2026 conference. The questions she is raising reflect how we think about digital development at PIN, as we continue our commitment to providing practical, low-cost solutions for the communities we work with.

🛑 With the Ebola outbreak in DRC declared a global emergency, we are taking immediate action. Safety first. 🛡️ We are delivering vital training and protective equipment to both our staff and health workers we cooperate with, and raising awareness directly in the communities on how to stay safe.

In 2025, we helped 157,247 people across #Afghanistan. For many communities in remote areas, our support provided ordinary Afghans a sense of hope. Behind each number is a human story—of resilience, determination, and strength in the face of hardship.
