Coffin Rock from #BlairWitchProject is about a 10-15 minute hike from the main parking area at Seneca Creek State Park. Just follow the beautiful little trail along the southern side of the creek. 1/4

Much of #BlairWitchProject was filmed in and around Seneca Creek State Park near Gaithersburg, MD. Across the distinctive rock outcropping where the filmmakers interview the two fishermen, a fallen tree now rests and would not clear my shot! 1/4
The room they did give us was *freezing.* It was January in Maryland and no heat had been running in the room all day. To make things even worse, the next morning we realized no one was even staying in the room we'd wanted. And by all appearances it was a lot nicer than the one we were given! 2/2
We spent a night at the Hillside Hotel in Knoxville, Maryland, where Heather, Josh, and Mike stayed in #BlairWitchProject. We called ahead to reserve the actual room they stayed in and were told, "you got it." When we arrived, however, they said we couldn't have that room. 1/2

Ran across Robert Knepper ("Rodney Mitchum" to Twin Peaks fans) in two indie features from 1992 this week. He plays a British geologist in GAS FOOD LODGING and the lead singer of a Christian hair metal band in WHERE THE DAY TAKES YOU, where he performs the song, "No Surfing in Hell."
Lois and Mario, looking like they're posing for an album cover. Folk? Hip Hop? Prog metal?
Mark Frost's directorial cameo in STORYVILLE also serves as a non-Twin Peaks appearance by Cyril Pons (listen for the newscaster's introduction at the start of the clip). Well-played, @markfrost.bsky.social!

Watched Tim Hunter's RIVER'S EDGE for the first time in decades. Still retains its raw power to unsettle and disturb. Given Hunter's Twin Peaks connections, it's almost as if it asks, what if Ronette Pulaski was "the dead girl" instead of Laura Palmer?
If you've read the strange and wonderful HOBTOWN MYSTERY STORIES graphic novels by @hobtown.bsky.social and Alexander Forbes, you intuitively pick up a Twin Peaks vibe. Just finished the excellent 3rd volume and nice to find this David Lynch tribute at the end.
Monday I watched THE HIDDEN with Kyle MacLachlan (decent B-movie). Today I watched TWO MOON JUNCTION with Sherilyn Fenn (less said the better). One actor appeared in both: Jake the Dog!
Mark Frost gives a convincing performance as "Locker Room Cop" in John Schlesinger's THE BELIEVERS. Frost wrote the screenplay, adapted from Nicholas Conde's book, THE RELIGION.
