Now this is just to say all about how I went to the icebox looking for chow And I'd like to take a minute so just stand on your feet I'll tell you about how your plums were so good to eat
I mean Fantasy Football and TTRPGs are both just excuses to get excited about stats, right

Variations on a theme of 'tuatara' (made with GMIC / @gmic-eu.bsky.social) #digital #art
Now, with this rediscovery of a trove of early Tuatara Deliquescence work, we can get some insight into: 1. Designer Laura Khang's favourite gameplay structure, the "Floorcrawl", which models Single Planar Travel and depends on game / real-world values like "Carpet Friction" and "Tile Hardness"
Tuatara Deliquescence was completely unlike Khang's previous game, "15 Hours In The Oort Cloud With Ferdinand Magellan". The new project was inscrutable, complicated, and incredibly broad in scope. Characters had powers like "Nihilogony", "Reverse Entropy", and "Become Imperfect".
If you were around the tabletop games hobby twenty years ago, you probably remember the infamous game-that-never-was, Tuatara Deliquescence. A "success" of early forays into crowdfunding, the game's production flared out and the developer disappeared in bizarre circumstances. Nothing was released...
Do people still remember Tuatara Deliquescence? The metaphysics TTRPG which Laura K was developing in 2007? Unclear if it really had legs as a game, but the idea of the inevitable agglomeration of a cosmos-wide consciousness struck me as a pretty compelling premise at the time.

Apropos of nothing, my upcoming submission for the You Cannot Play This TTRPG Jam contains errata for a hypothetical RPG about metaphysics that supposedly funded on a nonexistent crowdfunding site.

In this game, you'll use your limited reach into reality to navigate the dooms your cultists bring about. Manage your cult's Divergence, Fervour, Cultists, Monstrosity, and Imminence to prevent everything devolving into knives and tentacles, and hopefully blaze a trail to your manifestation.
It's a chaotic game about putting out fires and striving to achieve your manifestation. You can grab the digital edition through itch or DriveThruRPG, or the physical book through DriveThruRPG. www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5... periapt-games.itch.io/overzealous
It's manifested in our reality at last! #Overzealous is a solo pen-and-paper TTRPG revolving around tactical cult management and coping with heretical hijinks.
There are entire categories of patterns I can now make with really simple lines instead of complicated vector shapes.
