Last week’s solar eclipse in London viewed through a tree using a telescope projection!
The eclipse in London projected on the ceiling with my grandson’s telescope! Lovely family gathering to watch it unfold.

Bees fighting to get at the pollen in a newly opened Magnolia Grandiflora flower! The scent is divine!
Gatekeeper butterfly enjoying the nectar deep in the Buddliea florets. This was our table flower arrangement so we could watch while having our coffee on another hot day, today 💚
Our local station Bellingham has been renamed “Jude Bellingham” until after the Football World Cup.
Heron and turtle enjoying a morning bask in the hot sun in Kelsey Park. Very calm and serene!
Bees loving the pollen in the Magnolia Grandiflora Exmouth tree this morning in the heat and humidity. It is now 15 years old and flowers profusely. There were only one or two of the highly scented flowers in early years. We get really excited now when it flowers!
France recorded a high of 44.6°C yesterday. That’s so far beyond anything seen in the historical record, statistically a return period of 87 thousand years.
Wishing you all a very Happy Solstice whether Summer or Winter. “Sun ascends, whispers old, Summer solstice, stories told. Earth and sky in sacred dance, Nature's gifts in our hands. Fields in bloom, rivers flow, Change embraced, seedlings grow”.
Very sad to hear about the passing of David Hockney who enriched all our lives with his painting brilliance. Our favourite saying from him, when we see something special in the park is “there is never a dull moment in Woldgate Woods”
Other views of Mousehole village and harbour Cornwall. Mostly crab fisherfolk using the harbour.
We are staying for a few days at Mousehole village and harbour in Cornwall. This was the sunrise this morning from the house which is on the harbour edge- so beautiful.
We are having the hottest May Day since records began in UK peaking at 35degC in London today. We are 2degC hotter than the previous record. But the “Emily Brontë” roses and Abutillon are loving it!
Just 10.6% fossil fuels in UK power generation on this warm summery day 🙂
Dawn chorus of birdsong recorded for you this morning, 40minutes before sunrise. (sound up!) So lucky to have this joyful musical background to our life on the edge of London.
Happy St George’s Day to all my English followers. Hoping you are enjoying this lovely sunshine! 🌞 Looking forward to a successful English Summer ⚽️
As Earth Day arrives, legislation has been introduced in Congress that would outrageously grant legal immunity from climate change damages to fossil fuel companies. This would shield them from lawsuits brought by communities harmed by climate change. www.eenews.net/articles/sen...
Beautiful Peacock butterfly enjoying a warm sunbathe on the grass in the garden today. Stayed for 20minutes resting in the sun.
The Bexhill beachside sunset gathering around the fire. Perfect end to an Easter family day.
Staying in Bexhill on Sea in UK for the weekend and this is the fantastic moonscape tonight over the sea 🙂
Those babies in Kelsey Park have now become young hungry herons, guarded by a parent. The other is off finding fish and frogs for them all.
