Also, on this final day you are allowed to write on the walls, so if you live in the Portland area, don't miss your one chance to deface public property guilt-free. The majority of them are on the wall pictured here. I tried to snap pics of as many graffitis as I could. Got hundreds of 'em...
The mall remains open for another few hours, and...just about EVERYONE is here. It's more packed than I've ever seen it, and I can remember back to when it was open-air.
In the center of the city.... #LloydCenter had it all. 1960-2026 RIP
And speaking of rescues, at least they're not as bad off as the protagonist of SAVE THE DOG, the long lost TV movie Platypus Comix has uncovered! www.platypuscomix.com/darkvault/sa...
This week on my website: Part Four of EL AND MAX HI THE ROAD is finally live! Our duo may have pulled off their rescue, but it leads to a stickier situation neither of them saw coming! #webcomic #webcomics #strangerthings platypuscomix.com/st/?issue=13...
And it's available now in more places than it was when I preordered it, and for a lower price too. This miracle was worth the $200 and needs to be seen and felt by you too. It's the ultimate shrine to physical media. And it's a sure better release for Season 3 than THIS!
There's also this thick behind-the-scenes book and episode guide that comes with it (and a ton of other physical objects but I don't have all day). Does the cover look familiar? Some things in here might overlap with the Target book that just came out. I can't check yet.
Season 1's label is lenticular. When you move it around, different lights twinkle.
Each package has a different visual gimmick and they are all great. Season 4 has this clear overlay with Max printed on it. As you pull the cover off, Max rises.
Peer inside. Note how every season case is a different size. There are two reasons for that... One is because some of them have bonus features that take up an entire disc themselves, and a couple episodes toward the end are so loooong they need one disc. But the better reason is...
I've only had ten minutes with this and it is already blowing my mind. This is no ordinary set. This is the kind of glorious physical media presentation that used to run free across the American prairie until they were driven to extinction.
It's official: the number one series that comes to mind when people think "Streaming" has escaped streaming jail #StrangerThings 🧵
This is the scene from the 1997 TV miniseries version of The Odyssey where Penelope sees Odysseus for the first time in 20 years. It is an odd performance and I can't be the only one who assumed she just died from the shock of seeing him.
Today is the tenth birthday of #StrangerThings ...I was not prepared for this; I thought it was next week. Here, have these in-progress panels from the next chapter of the #webcomic. El and Max have just rescued little Matthew, and after what he just saw, he has a LOT of questions...
The fact that the song ends with Rocky's possible conversion to Christianity didn't pacify them any. This book had officially bombed at my house. By the way I couldn't find a clipping of a Bible in the magazines, so I substituted a box of granola bars. I never heard a complaint about that one.
Now the DOCTOR'S DRUNK?? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! This was the filthiest book of all time! They were letting me know in no uncertain terms what a disappointment I was.
I don't remember any specific complaints about these two pages but with all the gunplay they probably didn't like them either. And how dare that man flash his stinky sock in their face!
And the VERY NEXT PAGE says Rocky CHECKED INTO HIS ROOM but there was no changing Stepdad's mind. He was right. It was the evidence that was wrong! He also thought mentioning the Bible right before mentioning Rocky's desire to blow Dan's leg off was blasphemous.
This page made Stepdad mad because he thought "booked himself at the local saloon" meant "became a barfly." My teacher had explained to us that back in the Old West, saloons doubled as hotels. They had a second floor guests could check into. My parents saw this on Dr. Quinn every week.
Oh, now there's VIOLENCE?? This was unacceptable! My new stepdad was also on that couch and so far did not approve of the book either.
I open the very first page, and I immediately hear this "UH!!" sound come out of my mother. Whenever I heard my mother go "UH!!" I knew she didn't approve of something. So we were off to a bad start. Mom did not approve of Rocky's girl running off with somebody else.
Another time she got offended because a scene in a bathroom contained a visible toilet. But the breaking point came the day I brought this home. We were making collage art books in class based on Beatles songs. I was really proud of mine and sat my mom down on the couch to show it to her.
And get this -- the box was wrapped in opaque plastic to prevent it from getting wet. This was on top of the fact that the book was in bubble wrap AND shrinkwrapped. It was NOT getting wet! The book is gorgeous, by the way. #Glitch
Well, I've gotta hand it to Glitch Productions -- this is the most well-padded book I've ever had shipped. It's the only time I've EVER seen actual effort to prevent the corners from getting bent! #KnightsOfGuinevere
From the same tape. Does "JEEP! IT'S LIKE RIDING A BUFFALO!" work on you as a sales pitch?
How you know your "live" sports event isn't actually live 3-25-1984 I did not do this, it aired this way
And did you know that during the entire original run of Disney's Aladdin, the title character was not allowed to show fear? It's true. Why did they establish such a rule, and for what purpose? Find out this week! www.platypuscomix.com/educational/...
This week on my website: in the third chapter of EL AND MAX HIT THE ROAD, the pair are closing in on the missing child's location...but are they prepared for what they'll have to do once they get there? platypuscomix.com/st/?issue=13... #webcomic #webcomics
Just got back from The Amazing Digital Circus finale screening. It was a fantastic sendoff and anyone who says otherwise is full of chowder. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to see it in a large room with a bunch of other fans. #amazingdigitalcircus #glitchstudiosㅤ #TADC
Wasn't expecting to see THIS in my mailbox today. For those who don't know, Final Space had a six-season arc planned, but due to the upper management chaos at WB, it was canned at three seasons.
