Tonight’s dinner: mini meatloaf on mashed cauliflower, with sauteed green beans.
It was a beautiful night for baseball at Coney Island. It would have been more fun if the Cyclones had shown up to play. They lost 14-4. But I had 2 Bud Light Seltzers and we got fireworks so it was a good time anyway.
From the office today, with some artwork that management put up in our space because without it we just have plain white walls.
Does anyone else order pet stuff from Chewy, and has anyone else’s deliveries shown up looking like this? This is the second time I’ve gotten a delivery that looks like it fell off several trucks. I didn’t even order the Fancy Feast so I don’t know what it’s doing in there.
I did that during the pandemic. It was fun for about 2 months and then I wanted to shave my head. Thank God the barbershops reopened when they did.
The face of a man who had two days in the office this week and two days of crises that hit as he was on his way to the office on the subway. The crises got resolved and I am looking forward to a Friday off (and a haircut).
We didn't have a massive cookie table at our wedding but we did manage this cornucopia-like arrangement (along with a cake).
Today was the 2nd time I went to my building’s gym and someone using it had set the HVAC to 83 degrees. I look like I was in a wet t-shirt contest.
Live look at Mr. Berman explaining this situation to the NY Times
We went to Coney Island for a drink and some fireworks. Happy 250th birthday, America!
I did have some water after my iced coffee this afternoon, I promise.
I had two Bud Light Black Cherry seltzers at the Brooklyn Cyclones game and they won and then we had fireworks. A+ ending to the work week.
All the cool nerds are at the Comedy Bang! Bang! show at Town Hall tonight.
I still have my yellow Star Trek t-shirt that I got as a Christmas present from my parents in 2009. That’s my brother in the red shirt because he’s an engineer.
On this beautiful Sunday, we went to a concert at the Festival Hall (Strauss, Grieg, and Dvorak) and now I’m back in our hotel room to watch F1.
It was planes, trains, and automobiles to get here, and it took many hours, but we are happy to be in Salzburg despite the drizzle and chill.
It’s summer break for the orchestra so Thursday nights are electric bass nights.
I had a fantastic weekend at my 30-year college reunion. It was fun to be back on campus and see so many old friends. And we got to meet Jack the Bulldog!
Last week, I got coffee from my favorite coffee place in the Bay Area.
I got to dress up as a construction worker for my IT job this week.
It was a cool day in Brooklyn, perfect for working from the balcony.
My wife left me… for a few days, so I get to cook for myself. Tonight’s dinner: dirty rice. I used some Sofrito and added green beans so it’s not wholly authentic, but it’s delicious.
