this arm of a cactus i have broke off but it was the first time he was gonna flower so i gave him a shot. with a few wires i suspended him to callus over, then after a week i started to keep the glass full of water just out of reach of the cactus so he'd drop a root. idk exactly what species he is.

I was able to DIY build a really good sensor with a Xiao ESP32-C6 ($15 for a pack of 3) and AHT10 sensor breakout ($16 for a pack of 10) and ESPHome. It really is incredible how easy it is, and I can configure the refresh rate, unlike my Arre sensor which rounds to the nearest degree.
Pretty cool that we live in a world where conferences are live-streamed and I can watch while waiting from an airport terminal #supabaseselect
This one was about 14 cm long, 8cm diameter. I brought mine from North Carolina and moved to California in 2014. It fell over and broke in half in 2019 when my ex and I separated. Last year I got married again and he bloomed in November for the first time.

The most annoying thing is the PlayDek iOS app was perfect, but when they revised the rules it got really buggy (e.g. animals disappearing as you rearrange) Still a bunch of us playing the old version though! We have self organized into a league on Signal if you'd like an invite.
