Today marks 27 years since the Admiral Duncan Nail Bombing. Three people died and 79 were injured. Hate crimes against LGBTQIA+ people are increasing dramatically. We stand in solidarity and remembrance, for those lost on that day and in similar attacks globally. #AdmiralDuncan
Just over one year on from the UK Supreme Court Ruling, which has caused fear, confusion and harm, I want to reaffirm that #TransRightsAreHumanRights
“This is the eighth Christmas that LGBTQ+ people will face since the UK Government committed to a conversion practices ban, with that promise not having been met. Prime Ministers have personally committed to these practices.” #BanConversionPractices
2002 - came out as gay 2012 - came out as HIV+ No shame. No regrets. #WorldAIDSDay

“Testing for HIV and other blood-borne viruses is healthy and responsible. It shows that an individual is being proactive about their own health and the health of others.” Thank you to The Scottish Sun for interviewing me about HIV and testing for the virus. @thescottishsun.co.uk #HIV
An incredible evening hearing about Cleve Jones’ trailblazing activism, from walks alongside Harvey Milk, the creation of the AIDS Quilt, challenging stereotypes and the future of liberal democracy now! @positiveeast.bsky.social
I’m excited to be represented by Andrew James at Frog Literary Agency. @frogliterary.bsky.social It was a joyous moment when a publisher offered on my proposal and I realise how lucky I am. Can’t go into too much detail at the moment, but the book will discuss both my HIV and my faith. #booksky

I am very excited that the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury will be Sarah Mullally. I have known Sarah since my election to the General Synod in 2021. Sarah is the first woman to hold this role within the Church of England. She will be great for our national Church and the Anglican Communion.
“Queer pride, joy, rage and solidarity and visibility continue to be important social and political statements.” I really enjoyed visiting Queer Britain, by King’s Cross in London, this week. #QueerBritain
London Trans+ Pride #TransRightsAreHumanRights “What do we want?” “Trans rights!” “When do we want them?” “Now!”

“Our God is one of compassion and I believe that compassion includes the offer of assisted dying in our society.” #AssistedDying #Synod #GeneralSynod
“The Christian martyrs were migrant workers and we live in an age where #immigration and #asylum have been weaponised in the culture wars. Migrants are often treated badly and the subject of negative polarising rhetoric.” #Synod #GeneralSynod
Happy #PrideInLondon The UK has dropped to 22nd on ILGA-Europe’s Rainbow Index. In 2015, we were ranked first! We must protest the rollback of LGBTQIA+ rights in the UK and internationally. @prideinlondon.bsky.social @stonewalluk.bsky.social @johngalea.bsky.social
Great to attend the Rainbow Honours! At a time when many LGBTQIA+ people are seeing their rights eroded, it’s fantastic to be surrounded by inspirational people. Solidarity to my trans, non-binary and gender-diverse siblings. @rainbowhonours.bsky.social #RainbowHonours #TransRightsAreHumanRights
In the UK and internationally we are seeing a roll back of LGBTQIA+ rights. We must stand together, particularly with our trans, non-binary and gender-diverse siblings. It was a massive honour to be included at 98 in today’s UK #PridePowerList25 in @theguardian.com #PrideMonth
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! @johngalea.bsky.social Thank you for your friendship and kindness. Hope you have a fantastic day!
