Happy Primary Day! 🗳️ Most election laws are set by state and local governments, but there are federal laws that provide us with rights and protections as we vote. These are just baseline laws; in fact, you may have even more protections in your state, county or city. Here are a few basic protections

The top section explains that the endorsements were approved by delegates at the WSLC Committee on Public Education (COPE) Convention on May 16, 2026. Endorsements are organized into categories for U.S. Congress, Washington State Supreme Court, Ballot Initiatives, and State Legislature, including endorsed candidates in the 2nd, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, and 31st Legislative Districts. Three statewide ballot initiatives—IL26-001, IL26-638, and IP26-645—are each marked "NO."

The bottom section states that the Pierce County Central Labor Council endorsements were approved by delegates at the May 14, 2026 meeting. It lists endorsements for Pierce County Auditor: Linda Farmer, Pierce County Council District 1: Kelsey Barrans, District 5: Bryan Yambe, and District 7: Brenda Lykins.

When it comes to protecting workers from the harms of AI, working people trust unions more than employers or either political party. That trust comes from generations of organizing for safety, dignity, transparency, and a voice on the job.

We’re demanding technology that works for people. New polling shows overwhelming support for a pro-worker AI agenda: human oversight on employment decisions, access to training and education, protections against misinformation, and real guardrails in the workplace.
