Witnessing the present day. (he/him, 40s) Chronicler of the Forces of the Canonical Jealous, new installments aimed for every Thursday through 2026. Alt-text scrapers: pay me one billion US dollars per post for training rights to them.
Can you make a platform fighter moveset out of these characters? That is the current standard of all modern character design in canon. Anyway, they are fighting. It's very unruly, and I'd like to get back to the storytelling as soon as possible.
Ancient injoke for a friend, as a birthday gift. I couldn't find a way to loop it into the death of a certain type of music, but may the purpose of the bass clef remain known.
And now we move to a new quotable leg of canon that now involves the discovery of a new musical instrument and the eminent domain concert. Please ignore the overflowing comments section full of enthusiastic fans. We'll buff that right out of the canon soon enough...
When I wrote it, I knew that panel was going to be powerful. So here, a cropped version.
One supposes it's been long enough, that an antagonist should antagonize appropriately. But aren't antagonists canon to their story? I should be asking myself that more often, but maybe out of earshot so I don't offend Teal-Rhombuses here. They're having a moment.
Another special birthday gift, for the VTuber Countess Lita! Someone I've known for a while, and know as a fan of the Forces of the Canonical Jealous. So, a special canon for a good friend! Also a birthday gift. They are one in the same. Naturally, Teal-Rhombuses feels like they need to weigh in...
Anyway, here's a commemorative image celebrating the occasion. I am not fixing the typo. It enhances the whole thing. Grumpy Oldbie's time is long done (twice over), but canon shall continue to commence through the 2026 calendar year! Will they cross over with a newer work next year? Who knows...
Where canon proves inadequate in the eyes of one who beholds it, what recourse do they have but to bring their vision upon what is immutable? An exercise in futility that tones the frustration.
In which "canon" must measure up to synonymous but somehow opposed forces. Will this stake-raising intrigue be met with grace and wit, in the name of canon?
The canon has games! Let us watch them play the canon game, the game that is canon and determined by canon... at the risk of being found jealous.
A friend, @thegreenherring.art , did an ANSI art stream. Someone else asked what the program they used was, and that was a mistake. I cannot be trusted with this.
In which fanon cannot accept the present direction and scope of canon. (One is aware that this does not narrow down the subject matter overly much.)
In the spirit of #makeaterriblecomicday I also present to you a completely fresh one. It is a comic, that is terrible, and also was made today. Add it to the pile!
Special care was taken to try and keep most of the proportions and oddities of the original terrible comic from a year ago. When I made this my 2026 project, I consulted a few friends with vision issues, and from there developed its more distinct color palettes. Enjoy this with improved alt text!
Canon commences in ways strikingly similar - but yet offensively different - from a year ago. Today's the anniversary of the #makeaterriblecomicday "pilot" of the Forces of the Canonical Jealous, from before I decided it was worth turning into... uh... this. This canonical (and jealous) thing.
We are coming up the end of the quarter. It really wasn't that long, but it is always an important time of the year in all ways when it comes to the creation and continuation of canon.
With more characters formally introduced into canon by commercial demand, now is the time to crowd around limited screen space and consider the possibilities in conceptual narrative space!
Oh, oops, for some reason I didn't save the tiny edit I made before I finished and uploaded it. So, here it is. Note the change. The very important, continuity-anchoring change. Continuity is everything in a healthy piece of canonical work, yes? Yes.
When demands of interest are made, what gets woven irrevocably into the canonical fabric?
Be sure to track your shipping... or, uh, maybe not. Shipping can go places, in canon... or the forbidden fanon.
We are now entering a legitimate scientific paper about preference-based narrative thermodynamics in this installment of canon.
In which merchandise stock is measured, compared, and at risk of undue influence upon the commencement of canon. Same as it ever was, in any canon.
Canon is to be shared... as are opinions of canon, and continued sunk cost fallacy into immersing oneself in said canon even when the creative outlets fail to electrify the audience.
When I first played Pokemon TCG Pocket, I sarcastically put a common Burmy card in a display case as part of a tutorial quest. I tagged it with nonsense like 'legendarymythical' and everything. Months later, the real card showed up in a bulk purchase of mostly modern cards. What're the odds?
All crossovers must think carefully about the consequences of joining stories together, assuming there was ever even a difference between them to begin with.
Here's a pile of random pokey cards I bought out of the store's big ol' pile of random loose stock. I will be back for it for more plenty of times, I'm sure.
I'm going to repost this with alt text, it's too good not to.
One specific external interaction with canon is an apparent universal constant, and a useful tool indeed for all intentions of acknowledgement (or lack thereof). (Note: This is the tallest image yet of the canon, for what that's worth in 2026's monitor resolutions...)
Please do not leave your canon unattended, unless you wish to weather the consequences. If the consequences are from a professional, though, there is no problem. It is what they do, and it is a valuable service. (reupload for improved alt text, it was a bit too much gibberish for accessibility.)
