Mum, Cat slave, Puppy Grandma. I enjoy Knitting, Crochet, Spinning (Schacht Ladybug) and playing in my yarn stash. Topics I enjoy: True Crime, Archaeology, History and a dash of Genealogy. Australian.
It’s only taken 2 years, Kira walked next to me instead of pulling in front of me. The most relaxing walk we’ve done, it’s 3.5km around the golf course.
I’m going to turn all this yarn into a crochet blanket of random squares using as many different patterns as I can. That’s the whole plan, just enjoy each square as I go.
Bought and paid for, and we are to believe Pauline understands and fights for the Aussie battler. Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Kira believes she is owed liver treats, because her nap was good. She’s most likely right. Treats dispensed.
Melanistic Blue-Winged Kookaburra Photo by Fiona Bond, Herbert, NT Stunning! So goth 😆
Kira happy to see the Glory Hole has water flowing into it after a little rain last night. 3.5km walk and she’s ready for a nap while I remove silicone from an old aquarium so I can practice a re-seal before doing the exxy tank.
Gateway Bridges, Brisbane, Australia. One of my favourite bridges to drive across. It's not as bent as it looks, but it is steep and a little odd :)
A potential sighting has just been reported off Port Macquarie, with a very high likelihood that Australia’s most famous humpback whale, Migaloo, has been spotted for the first time in six years. Yes! I knew he'd return eventually ❤️ 🐳
Are the cameras missing footage like the one pointed at Epstein's prison door? They will never take responsibility for anything.
Yes, The White House actually posted this. They are so desperate for ppl to believe they drained the swamp, when in fact, they created one. It currently reflects the putrid, vile, slimy, no good Trump Administration.
Good morning, it’s Saturyay! I’m medicated and ready for some chook necks to crunch on. Have a great weekend! ♥️Kira

The government’s own modelling appears to show the planned dismantling of the NDIS in real time. According to Senate documents, by 2030-31: • 241,000 participants are assumed to be “exited” from the scheme • projected participant numbers collapse from 944,000 to 598,000 after reforms
Australia, always something keeping you on your toes. Python in the loo, more common than you think! Photo by Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7
A bubble party recently erupted across Werribee Open Range Zoo's lion habitat as keepers treated them to some fun new enrichment. ❤️
Do I know what I’m doing? No. However, I’m having fun & that’s all that matters at this point. Figuring out ‘thread painting’ as I go. Pretty sure those black edges should be last, oops 😅
Miss Kira, fresh, fluffy and fabulous. She’s just been picked up from the groomer, enjoyed her spa day as usual. Spoilt brat! No one else gets a spa day 🤣
100%. I do paint by numbers just for the joy of it, I'm about to paint a ceiling in a peachy pink for fun, I still love cartoons and anime, I have a plushie tiger and panther, I have a large poster of a peacock dressed in Victorian gentleman's clothing on my living room wall. Quirky but joyful!
I do this, hearing aids only help so much. I need to see your face, watch expressions and read your lip movements. I also tell ppl what I'm doing if they look a bit uncomfortable or wonder why I am looking at them the way I do :) Plus with my vision also being an issue, I probably make ppl nervous 😁
