i know this is just how video games are in 2026 but the demo for Disgaea Mayhem just made me laugh so much by playing a cheerful voice saying "Nippon Ichi software presents...!" and then fading to this screen

working on the tech behind karaoke streams has been so fun. this time around i've had to write an extension to the LRC file format to allow for multiple voices on a track, so that we can render pretty colours depending on who's singing 💘🎵
