The view from the northwest corner of the garden. Ignore the collection of randomness in the gazebra...
They're all from SkyBirdArts, now on Instagram and previously on Etsy. These are some of them.
And last but not least, rue. The only natives in the side garden that are currently flowering are the bergamot and the anise hyssop, everything else is not a native. The rue and the rose that wouldn't die are the only non-mints in the space. Despite it's foreign origins, the pollinators like it.
This is lesser calamint, which I am growing because it is an aromatic. Have I harvested it? Of course not.
The anise hyssop in the side garden, behind the bergamot. Honestly I'm surprised it hasn't been choked out.
The wild bergamot in the side garden. It's 4 feet high, in case anyone was wondering. It *really* likes that spot. So do the bees.
An agastache of some sort. It was at the Home Depot garden center on sale, and who am I to turn down an agastache?
Spotted bee balm and I really didn't expect it to bloom this year since I just put it in a month ago.
These are some variety of native aster, probably either heartleaf or large-leaved.
Bloomscrolling! Some of the garden is in bloom so I took pictures. These are echinachea - coneflowers. I don't remember what kinds.
You can do eet! Amir believes in you! Hime probably doesn't, but she's a heartless bitch.
I fail to understand how this can possibly be comfortable, but I am not a cat. More important, the Kugelprinzessin is a tortie so normal cat rules don't apply.
Amir sticks his tongue out when he stretches, but he usually pulls it back in before I can get a picture.
You are never too old to ask for a hug. Also, Amir wants you to know that he loves you. (he is smiling hence the mostly closed eyes)
Today I am planting a butt load of plants, but I have heat sensitivity so I have to take breaks in the shade. Meanwhile, a robin...
The Kugelprinzessin has solved the chair problem by taking over the Spouse's chair while he's away on business.
The last time I reorganized my spice cabinet it screwed up my map and I have never fixed it. So my cabinet doors have an inaccurate map...
This is it so far. I should bring my stuff with on our camping trip next week, because it's supposed to be thunderstorms all Monday...
Well, apparently it is bun-delicious, but it's also robust enough to handle being nibbled. The bun in question is smol, maybe a pound or so. The sedge is almost 3 feet high.
I have a fuzzy sock that I use for wrestling with Amir, because sometimes a cat needs to bite. Amir for tax.
Normally there are birbs on the deck, but I couldn't find that photo. Also this is my grandcat who now lives with the Child and their husband.
