Here is where to download the original program, and the images here are what you have to change in it (just six lines). github.com/Nakazoto/Cen... It does not work in MBASIC running inside CP/M, so I had to type it in manually line-by-line inside the original BASIC loaded from the og NABU Network.
1DLife working on a NABU computer! I did have to cheat to get it to work, though. The original BASIC program produced an error, so I had AI (sigh... I know) fix it for me so it works on NABU. I don't know how to program in BASIC (or any language). 😅 Inspired by the recent video by Usagi Electric.
Anyway, so how are YOU celebrating the 250th anniversary of our rebelling against tyranny?
It's really hard to tell if there's a molex connector. The reason I *think* it's a 9800 Pro is because the various little ICs and silk screening on the back match pretty close
Red card looks like an HIS 9800 Pro www.hisdigital.com/us/product2-...
I apparently can't fit any more rage into my ATI Rage drawer, so straight on display it goes, alongside my other earliest 3D accelerators
The 3D Rage, ATI’s first 3D ""accelerator"". And yeah this was a rough one to start off with, but it was one of the first ever available, and the starting point for MUCH better things to come. Just arrived in the mail today. Super excited to add this one!
The card in question (in case anyone was wondering) is a DFI MG-150, based on Tseng Lab's ET1000-A, which was one of their first video cards. According to Wikipedia, one of the best-selling MDA/HGC clone cards ever.
I finally got a Hercules monochrome card for my 286 build. Now I can really try out this amber Brother monitor I've had for almost two years!
Today's trip to Target. "I like this." *several minutes later* "I bought this."
So I'm not like a big rock guy, but idk, if ever there were a rock for a computer enthusiast, it seems like one called "Terahertz" would be it
Duuuude this 286 board (Biostar MB-1212C) has jumperless overclocking?! 🤯
It POSTs! First time soldering a QFP chip. This battery-bombed 286 board had three severed traces on its CHiPset (har), and only by desoldering, grinding, bodging, and resoldering could I fix it. Massively excited, and this will make an awesome 286 build!
Whoever invented SIPP memory should be locked barefoot in a room with a floor made entirely of upside-down 80s motherboards adorned with overly long, spikey through-hole pins.
You can honestly say you've had a solid day in retro computing if pulling off a molex connector caused a substantial loss of blood on the edge of a vintage 90s computer case
My DS Lite that I've owned for 20 years just came out of a drawer that it's been sitting in for 4+ years, not only working, but with a battery that was still fully charged. What the actual hell. How is this thing so invincible?
This Masters of the Universe figure is a crossover with Stranger Things, the Hellfire Club turned into a personified character, but really, who cares. It's just a frickin badass looking action figure
This is NOT Florida weather. Someone forgot to pass nature the memo! (If anyone needs me I'll be hiding deep inside a pile of blankets)
The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go. oh. that's... that's probably fine.
Not to, ya know, flex or anything, but I found this unopened package of RAM, and I'm pretty sure this means I can retire early. 😎
