I'll say on Hong (who I am not personally big on for other reasons) is not as big of a weak link as people say. Tiffany is a bit shit as a candidate, Hong over performs in her State House seat, and Wisconsin is very politically bipolar. This state has Johnson and Baldwin as Senators. Given its history, Wisconsin would be the most likely swing state to be where "moderate = more electable" isn't true. Wisconsin is the state that elected McCarthy/Walker and Nelson/Baldwin.

Obviously, she's still gotta win the primary, but I'm not as worried as most people seem to be. The ~D+8 or so Generic Ballot at the moment does help, though!

Local South Dakotan man predicts South Dakota's Republican gubernatorial primary results:

RE: SD-Gov, my final prediction is that Rhoden and Doeden advance to a runoff, with Rhoden being far closer than expected to the 35% needed to win outright. Late deciders in South Dakota tend to break for (even non-elected incumbents) in primaries, and soft Johnson voters may also move to Rhoden last minute for that same reason.

I think Doeden and Hansen going so hard against Johnson in the last month may be what sinks him, and lets Rhoden through in a race he was never supposed to win. Johnson has also clearly slumped in all public polling, while Rhoden is getting shockingly strong numbers in the closing stretch.

It'd be humiliating for Johnson, this was his race to lose from the start, even after Noem left office early and Rhoden ascended. It would be a career ending loss.

Insane LARP is happening online right now. We already got a "faithful" adaptation to the original plot, it's called "Welcome to Raccoon City" and nobody watched it and it sucked! I love the original cast and stories, but those are far better left to be told in video game form. This trailer alone is better than that whole movie.

I'm extremely glad Cregger took the approach of having an original character and setting it in Racoon City. I think it's neat to see how "just some guy" deals with surviving the hellish setting that it becomes during(?) the outbreak. It also lets you flesh out Austin Abrams' own character and story without stepping on any pre-existing story telling and allowing this to exist as a side story in the same world as the games, which already tell their stories just fine in video game form. Frankly I wish more VGM's did this! It's okay to replicate the journey of someone a Resident Evil game instead of doing a direct adaptation, I'm down with the idea, even, and frankly Weapons was good enough that I have full faith in Zach Creggar to do this concept justice. This looks great and I will be watching as soon as it releases.
