🌱Two echinacea survived the slugs and snails, others were scoffed early on. Rudbeckia planted to honour my Dad, his favourites.
This was on the back of the door from the storage area in the old Mark's and Spencers shop, Keighley. I've never worked in retail so don't know if it's a common sign. I found it a bit odd!
A nice reminder of how far my garden has come in 4 years and a pleasure to be able to use it today. Fed up of hiding from the heat.
I'm a saddo, took this photo of the garden at almost peak frothyness because I'm up in Scotland for 6 days cat sitting for my daughter. I will miss my flowers! Husband will send me photo's of our cat 😁
🌱Painted Ladies are new visitors to this garden and they are very welcome. Enjoying the nepeta which has gone a bit wayward, constant drone of bumble bees all over it
🌱 Emily Brontë rose, David Austin. After a rain shower. Pub lunch today but no booze in solidarity with my mate who can't drink any longer. We just get excited for fish goujons 😋
🌱been waiting for the roses to open up. Here's Scarborough Fair, David Austin.
Walked via Holden Park in Oakworth which has a victorian man made grotto all down one side courtesy of sir Isaac Holden I guess
The evening routine has commenced, Barry comes to sit on my knee, half on half off due to his wobbly backend. After a minute of stroking I say don't lick my jumper 🙄 He gives it a while then tries to steal the seat. All a ploy to get me to warm the sofa. Every night 😅
Happy plod round the fields and wood this morning. Beautiful sunshine, dry paths but fab to find the pond had filled and a duck making the most of it. It was dry last year. My legs are waking up their muscle memory, heart is a little way behind, more practice needed!
The painting Snowmen from the Jim Moir exhibition at Cartwright Hall Bradford. I loved this one, it is sculptural and bizarre. Look at those teeth!
Yawn, I'm so tired after 2 poor nights of sleep, due to a wobbly cat. I'd go for a lie down but....
Sad to hear Glen Baxter has gone today. I still have this poster, it was signed but the signature faded a long time ago, we ambushed him in the Manor House and he was kind enough to indulge us enthusiastic art students. Always fond of his stuff
A post of ladybirds and a corner of donkeys! Very breezy walk, cobwebs truly blown away
Very tempting to pack him away! Just got a refund from the vets after being charged twice for the same antibiotics. Been stewing about that all weekend
Barry forming a backwards question mark. Fitting for the between times of Christmas and New Year.
Merry Christmas from our household. Barry was caught mirroring the expression on the kangaroo tree ornament! Warm wishes for a cosy time 🎄
Had a muddy walk but managed to stay upright 😁 lovely day. Returned to the vets with the extra medication I'd got yesterday- wrong dose! I opened them and wondered how the hell I'd get them down the cat they were huge. Gave me 400mg instead of 40mg! All sorted now
Threw my Christmas wreath together yesterday. I was pleased to find the local garden centre were giving away tree offcuts for a donation to the hospice I already volunteer for 😊 Enjoyed clipping bits from the garden and putting it together. May wear thin after the next 3 I need to make
Here's proof I managed to deliver the bridesmaid to my daughter's wedding! It was a fantastic day
Barry freaked me out with this pupil shape, I was sick with worry. Later it became more normal. Had a phone call with the vet and she's reassured me. Will follow up in a month. OMG, I'm now indulging in a worry free morning 😊
Its been a rotten few days, Barry came off worse in a cat scrap and his eye was caught. He's beginning to recover but not keen on the 4x a day eye drops etc. My poor little soldier! Off to the vets again on Monday
Well there's no getting away from it, I hit 60 today. Curry with the girls later
Just home from a 7 mile round walk taking in Haworth moor. Avoided Main St because its half term and its been recently tick tocked 😆
