In March, I was delighted to have 3 poems in The Candyman's Trumpet, family edition, alongside so many wonderful poets. This parenting poem pushes back against making your children grow up.
Delighted to have 3 poems in The Candyman's Trumpet issue 9... A beautiful issue on the theme of family. Thanks to Jack Caradoc! This is the first of the three: Rhyming my son is rhyming in a language I cannot speak and I, lost to the rhymes, am found in his glittering eyes.
Night to day pours forth speech in silent sweet’ In muted awe we make the choir complete
BREAK YOUR IDOLS An acrostic sonnet from my 2nd collection A Handful of Prayers, that is a call to humanity in the face of The Machine. wipfandstock.com/979838520437... Paul Kingsnorth's new book AGAINST THE MACHINE gives such wonderful language to many of these concerns.
Practicing the fantastic idea of Mark Vernon @askwilliamblake.bsky.social , and preparing for #blakefriday !

When you’re moving house, an excellent stick is one of the essentials that cannot be left behind.
Delighted to receive a hard copy of the wonderful new collection by Susan Richeardson @shadesofgreen.bsky.social. Along with a beautiful card… it was an absolute pleasure to write a few words for the back of the book and it is a privilege to be associated with such a gorgeous collection.
Happy Easter The epigraph of my poem “Sacrament Pause” is from Denise Levertof’s wonderfully searching poem “On Belief in the Physical Resurrection of Jesus”.
A couple of years ago this #poem was published in a beautiful print edition of the CallaPress journal, it also appears in my 2nd collection “A Handful of Prayers”: wipfandstock.com/979838520437... The epigraph is one of my favourite Blake quotes.
At the reading & art event last week, we were low in number, but high on life and language. (That’s anglophone poetry in another country.) I’m very proud of Silje for exhibiting her beautiful pieces.
Today was a good post day! It was wonderful to receive a copy of @hiramlarew.bsky.social's beautiful collection "This Much Very". Hiram's language is so welcoming and his poetry so deep that this book does not stop opening.
Getting ready for tomorrow's reading, here's the poem "Fallow 1" the first poem I wrote in the series "Poems and Sonnets for the End of Modernity" the main section of my latest collection "A Handful of Prayers." #poetry
If anyone knows anyone in the Montpellier area in the South of France, who could be interested in a FREE evening of art and poetry... please share this with them.
My poem “Locket” from my 2nd collection “A Handful of Prayers.” wipfandstock.com/979838520437... About the simple things that truly matter. It was originally published in the wonderful @lothlorienpoetryj.bsky.social. Also, apparently I don’t have 20-20 vision!
In Sarah Wilson’s 2021 podcast interview with David Whyte, they spoke of beautiful questions… it made me want to share the poem “Kindling” from my 2nd collection. wipfandstock.com/979838520437... The Scott Cairns quote from the epigraph is also from a podcast: At sea with Justin McRoberts.
We’ve had the flu, so sleep has been hard to come by… But here’s one of my poems from the latest fantastic @paddlerpress.bsky.social issue… it’s about not minding insomnia so much, because I’m next to the one I love. Insomnia Ensemble. #poetry #sleep
farefwd.com/index.php/20... One of the reasons I'm so thankful for Matthew Pullar's review of "A Handful of Prayers" for Fare Forward is that he insightfully comments on why the majority of the poems are sonnets! I hadn't told anyone this, so it is very encouraging.
Ecstatic to receive my copy of issue D of the 100th, & final issue of @dreich.bsky.social. Thanks so much to Jack for everything over the years. Your work is a precious gift to so many poets. Here’s a reading of my #poem ´Finding My Feet’ about the tiny village I call home.
