God yes... There's so much in this article that gets at how Martian expansion is an extension of the uncritical ideologies of navel-gazing fools. What could possibly distill the issue down to it's purest form better than these two sections?

This lays out what I've always kinda felt about the US: that the reason we have room to be so individualistic and crazy is bc we have no cultural memory of collective scarcity. If acknowledged at all, it's always atomized: The "economy" is doing great! So if you're struggling, it must be your fault.

Every time I've played a brand new deck I feel like I'm struggling to figure out how to actually have mechanics mesh, but last night I brought B&F and just immediately popped off and only lost bc I didn't focus on bullying one player at a time 😂 I had 18 mana at turn 7ish.
