Sunday's CicLAvia was HUGE! From East Hollywood to West Hollywood with iconic sights, good company, open roads, Thai food, sinkholes, The World Cup final, and thousands of bicyclists. Always a great event. #LetsJustGo

Can't get enough of The Geffen Theatre at The Academy Museum. Last night was my second screening of BUGSY, THIRTY-FIVE years after I saw it the first time! I forgot how...kooky Siegel comes off in this movie, but it's pretty compulsively watchable. Bonus to get an introduction by Dennis Gassner!

You can experience all manner of emotions on a whitewater rafting trip, ranging from excitement to serenity. That was our experience on The American River in Northern CA. I've never even heard of The American River, now this rafting trip is in my Top 10 things to do in the state! #LetsJustGo

Last weekend was the annual Lotus Festival in Echo Park, a celebration of AAPI culture and the blooming of the lake's lotus flowers which symbolize purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. Also, there was a crap-ton of food! Sri Lankan chicken, rice, & curry with pineapple salad for the win. #LetsJustGo

Friday was my first show of the year at The Hollywood Bowl. No surprise, it was about movies - THE MUSIC FROM THE FILMS OF WES ANDERSON. Where else can you get Devo, Jackson Browne, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, Beck, Karen O, China Forbes, and BILL F-ING MURRAY for $15?

Were you aware Cheech Marin had a museum of Chicano Art in Riverside? Once we found out, #LetsJustGo was in effect! I wouldn't have guessed the UP IN SMOKE guy would've collected hundreds of works of art but they're on display in rotation along with other works celebrating Mexican-American culture.

It's been a minute since we visited Sunnylands, but I still had to share some of the photos. It's known as the "Camp David of the West" where foreign dignitaries and diplomats, along with American politicians, would meet to talk about world affairs. But the grounds? - STUNNING.

Last night was another memorable one at The Academy Museum. It's hard to believe I lived in LA for 20 years WITHOUT a museum devoted to the MOVIES. That's gloriously changed and last night was a 30th anniversary screening of BOTTLE ROCKET w/Luke Wilson, Wes Anderson and James L. Brooks! #SOLDOUT

Beach Day! July 4th was a great day to be our first real beach day of the summer. Usually, Susan and I are working but yesterday we were in full goof-off mode. Playa del Rey delivered on the sun, sand, fireworks & more. I'd never experience fireworks on the beach before but four stars, can recommend

I don't drink a drop but man, do I love a winery! The grounds, the food, always special, and let's not discount how far a vibe goes. Heringer Estates has a beautiful landscape with a nice riverside walk. Susan recommends the sparkling rosé. Do I have that right, Susan? Rosé is a thing, no?

Sunday's CicLAvia from Exposition Park to Leimert Park had a RIDICULOUS amount of visuals, tons of fun, great food, and, of course, BIKING! Next one is July 19th in Hollywood. After the bike trip, Mercado La Paloma was awesome! A big food hall with loads of choices and an energetic vibe.

Here's something I didn't think I'd be doing this weekend. Susan and I went to The Magic Market in Heritage Square. On display: tarot, astrology, aura photography, crystals, reiki, energy healings, light therapy, lip print reads & more. I got my chakras aligned! The Market runs today from 1-6PM

Twist my arm to watch LA LA LAND again...so I did! A damn fine time was had hosting the outdoor screening last night in Burbank. Come to UMe Credit Union again next month and I'll be hosting ZOOTOPIA 2 on the 31st!

A movie is one thing. A movie EVENT is another, and they happen all the time in L.A. Adam and I got to attend an on-the-lot screening of SUPERGIRL at Warner Brothers. It's pretty much a space adventure, which I welcome. Milly Alcock is great! First time to the new Idyllwild Tavern after the show!

When I give tours of L.A., I'm showing them the Los Angeles in LA LA LAND. It's romanticized, supports artists, and champions dreamers, and I'll be hosting a free, outdoor screening of the movie tomorrow night! Come watch me get weird about my favorite movie of the last ten years.

Yesterday, I saw: - THE FURIOUS, a movie about two guys who beat the shit out of everyone in Hong Kong to get to child traffickers. Glorious! - LUSTILY EVER AFTER, a Fringe musical about three women in a book club and the wild 50 SHADES-esque story they're reading. Don't say LA doesn't have variety!

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is underway! In fact, it ends Sunday! I'm off to another show tonight, but last night's show was a face-hurter. LOTS of laughs from CHARLOTTE'S SHORTS with Laraine Newman, Stephanie Courtney, Mitch Silpa, Sarah Baker & more. This'll perform again Sunday & it's WORTH IT.

I got the call to host the stage at Valley Cultural Foundation's second concert of the summer in Warner Park. Just filling in for one day, but if I was only going to be there one day, this was the one - with Prince tribute band, The Purple Generation! A great night and people came OUT, some 5,000+!

I love roadside attractions and if I'm within an HOUR of a Bravo Farms location - gotta go. Ice cream, fudge, cheese, jam, olive oils, sodas, candy, coffee, all that nonsense. Picked up a good road trip score (bottom right) not to mention a great BBQ with a view of the central valley. #LetsJustGo

Turns out BYE BYE BIRDIE is pretty funny! I previously saw it so long ago, it was like seeing it for the first time last night at La Habra Depot. My friends played the MacAfees. Justin played a parent like I would, yelling at and not understanding kids and then telling them to shut up. Hilarious!

Susan continues to overachieve, being part of the cast of GO PLAY!, now nominated for an NAACP Theatre Award. There was a nominee luncheon at an awesome art gallery (or as they call themselves, a "guide to the vibe") that was Beverly Hills adjacent. Getting a lot of use out of my suit this year.

Got out to my first Angels game of the season over the weekend. Takeaways: - Jo Adell is my new favorite Angel! - The bullpen leaves much to be desired. - I'd enjoy a day out watching a game with these yahoos even if it was horseshoes. - If you're that close to Trader Sam's at Disneyland, you go!
