They literally are, cos there aren't enough living wage jobs for everyone who needs one so, rather than provide UBI or interfere in the job market, they're eradicating/incarcerating ppl, esp BIPOC & physically vulnerable, so they can pretend free market capitalism works. Hope that clears things up.
Agree that this is a reflection of the economy/wages (& that everything is not fine!), but, possibly unpopular opinion: beef _should_ be expensive, because it's very bad for the environment.
Trans people outside the Institute of Sexology in Germany, 1920s. The only place of its kind at the time, it studied the spectrum of gender & sexuality without pathologizing differences from the "norm," & had to be shut down because of the Nazis. TRANS PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS EXISTED. Happy Pride month!
