New DOJ opinion claims
states not required to provide community-based care for
people with disabilities

The Justice Department released a new legal opinion Thursday that civil rights experts said mental, physical and intellectual disabilities who receive state-funded services.

The Office of Legal Counsel opinion said states are not actually required by law to integrate mentally disabled patients with their peers by providing community or home-based care, a finding experts say runs counter to long-standing legal precedent and would lead to greater rates of institutionalizing people with disabilities.

Something a lot of people don't see. Trump thinks US troops in Germany are there to protect Germany. They're not.

Folks, oil might go up a little, maybe a little more than a little, nobody really knows, but it's going to be fine. That's the price of strength. Iran was getting very close to doing very bad things, things you don't even want to think about, and we stopped it, totally stopped it. Nobody else would've done it. If gas hits $5, maybe you stay home a bit, relax, enjoy some peace and quiet for a change, spend time with family, have a nice drink, it's not the worst thing. People are always rushing around, now maybe you slow it down, which frankly isn't so bad. And when the midterms come, remember this very clearly-we won, we kept you safe, we did what had to be done. Don't punish strength.

Wut? Supreme Court Justice Zodiac Killer?

As the midterm elections draw nearer, rumors have swirled about the possible retirement of Justice Samuel Alito while Republicans are still in control of the Senate, to ensure conservative fills the vacancy. If the GOP were to lose control of the Senate in November, it's unlikely Trump would be able to seat another justice after that. As of now, Alito, 76, has not directly spoken publicly about plans to retire, and having Trump replace him would not give conservatives larger majority. However, it would lock in a younger conservative for that seat, likely for decades to come.
Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-lowa) told reporters on Capitol Hill Tuesday that current Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) or Ted Cruz (R- Texas) could potentially be tapped for the seat should Alito decide to retire.
