The hardcover edition of Kiselev’s Arithmetic is gaining on the paperback—and for good reason. Its sturdy, classic cover is built to last, making it a great choice for children.

The most rigorously written introduction to school algebra has six chapters and 126 numbered paragraphs. Signed numbers. Polynomials. Algebraic fractions. Equations of the first degree in one, two, and three unknowns. Square roots. Quadratic equations.
Something unusual just happened. Amazon is promoting my book — and subsidising the print cost. The full-colour premium edition is now <50% of its usual price. No promo on my side. Just the algorithm pushing it. Won’t last.
Interesting to see Darts getting Life2.0, a few years today before appearance of Nixtla Darts 🎯 was the most voted for time series forecasting library.

Kiselev Algrebra Part II is now available on Amazon in paperback and hard copy. It has never been easier to learn school algebra https://a.co/d/00dIcO9Q E-book valeman.gumroad.com/...
Performing math vs knowing math. That's the difference between modern textbooks and one written in 1884. A.P. Kiselev was a Russian schoolteacher who got tired of watching students struggle with verbose, overcomplicated textbooks that taught procedures without understanding.
It’s amusing to see plots like this coming from the tabular foundation-model camp. At first glance, they seem to show outperformance.
Machine learning is incredibly powerful, but that doesn’t mean ML academics can easily beat the stock market. www.youtube.com/watc...
A lot of data scientists in 2026 still either skip EDA or do it wrong. They think EDA is about making pretty charts. It is not. EDA is not a gallery of polished plots. EDA is not a box-ticking exercise before modeling. EDA is not “let’s run a few charts and move on.”
A new youtube video just dropped. www.youtube.com/watc...
It's 2026… and for time series forecasting, Transformers & LLMs are STILL what you don't need. This repo has been delivering the truth for couple of years now.
Just shipped csp-forecaster v0.1.2 — a training-free probabilistic time-series forecaster that outperforms Amazon's DeepNPTS on six standard benchmarks and is blazing fast (~500× on CPU).
Your probabilistic forecasting model isn’t worth much unless it can beat simple benchmark. arxiv.org/abs/2606.0...
A one-line forecaster with zero training is better calibrated than a trained deep neural net. And almost no one reports it. In probabilistic time-series forecasting, the baselines are often weak or quietly missing.

A side project inside a Chinese hedge fund turned into a $20 billion force in just one year.
When you open Amazon and see your forecasting book sitting above Hyndman’s classic — supported by an Amazon marketing campaign that’s helping fund the luxury colour printing costs. https://a.co/d/07ok754K
Behind this unassuming book cover is a work by none other than Yakov Zel’dovich, the legendary principal architect of the USSR nuclear program himself. His biography would make any of today’s AI parvenus shudder.
The real foundation of China’s 🇨🇳 STEM and AI rise was not the Western liberal arts model. It was the opposite: the systematic dismantling of that model and the large-scale import of Soviet curricula, textbooks, and teaching methods.
After 117 years, A. P. Kiselev's Elements of Differential and Integral Calculus is now available in English. 🔥 This is the calculus textbook from the tradition that trained every key Soviet mathematician, physicist, and engineer through most of the 20th century.
When life gives you lemons, don't just make lemonade—build a lemonade empire. I’ve been championing conformal prediction since it was an obscure niche topic and it's now become one of the hottest topics in machine learning.
