Just a guy raising some pets. Former professor of American history who loves to talk politics and Magic the Gathering. He/him.
Had lunch in the city with my dad and sister’s family, took the opportunity to stop by the local game stores and trade a few old cards in to get some of the new Marvel cards to update my Commander decks. I was able to get all this for an Ozolith, Archangel of Thune, and a Battle Angels of Tyr #mtg
Well this is the most cursed thing I’ve seen lately I can’t stand these machines when it’s soda dispensing and now it has expanded
I can’t believe this incredibly narrow artifact of the old comics not only got a card, but the card is ALSO a staple for any vehicle deck
I’m so glad the famous Sauron panel from @elliottkalan.bsky.social lives on in his Magic: The Gathering card
Checking on the status of a thing I ordered, it’s currently existing in the future
In the DuckTales 2017 version they actually did give him a background story where he was a consulting super spy working with Mrs Beakly in her old SHUSH agency job, complete with Von Drake doing his best Q
Did a potentially dumb thing, I preordered a playset of a new mythic from Secrets of Strixhaven. I haven’t done this since I got burned on Aurelia’s Fury a decade ago, but the upside is that this new one is only ten bucks a copy, and it’s because multiple commander decks need one
Didn’t want to spend weeks hunting down 30 matching Coldsnap snow-covered mountain art for a monored EDH deck, decided to give Mana Pool a spin and see if they’re worthwhile. Their interface for optimizing carts is certainly a thousand times better than what TCGPlayer is nowadays!
Truly we live in an amazing age of awards made up to make individuals feel better
I briefly wore a rare promotional foil Kuriboh as a necklace when I was a teenager and it was less cringe than this
