Other states, red, blue, purple, are driving ambitious pro-homes agendas with substantive zoning reform laws. Realtor.com just gave Connecticut an F grade for the second year in a row and categorized us as the stagnant bottom.
To unlock "missing middle" homes in CT, we must update our building and fire codes.
Public Act 25-1 is law, how do you plan to ensure that the state, COGs, and municipalities create ambitious housing growth plans and follow through? Keep listening to see what @nedlamont.com @joshforct.bsky.social and Sen. Ryan Fazio have to say.
This summer, we interviewed @nedlamont.com @joshforct.bsky.social and Sen. Ryan Fazio in our 2026 Gubernatorial Forum to see where they stand on housing, transportation, clean energy, and governance.
🎉 It's official: Day 1 of statewide parking reform in CT is officially LIVE! As of July 1, certain costly minimum parking mandates no longer apply to multifamily developments with less than 16 homes. This is a massive milestone made possible by passing PA 25-1 last year.
Congress passed the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act with bipartisan support, but Trump canceled the bill signing and demands that Congress passes the SAVE America Act first. However, the bill has not been vetoed at this time.
Thank you to everyone who showed up for the Transit Oriented Communities Walk Audit in Wallingford!
🏘️ The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is on track to become the most significant federal housing bill in decades. However, we shouldn't overhype the significance of this bill.
Connecticut received an F for housing affordability for the second year in a row from Realtor.com and still faces a shortage of over 120,000 homes. The result ➡️ higher costs, less options for homebuyers and homerenters, and current residents priced out of their communities.
Thank you to everyone who joined the Pro-Homes Picnic! We loved spending the afternoon with pro-homes advocates from across CT, reflecting on this year's legislative session and sharing ideas for the future.
Congratulations to former Pro-Homes CT Fellow Olaleye Onikuyide on being featured in a @nytimes.bsky.social story by Kate Zernike about the growing focus on housing affordability among young leaders across the country.
Affordability and stability go hand in hand. Creating more choices from starter homes to accessory apartments gives people the ability to stay in the communities they call home🏠. connecticut.news12.com/connecticut-...
The very obvious - and frankly, only - solution to this problem is to dramatically grow our state by building - more homes, more water treatment, more green energy, more transit. If we want to make CT dynamic, then make it dynamic! ctmirror.org/2026/06/04/c...
From Texas to Virginia and beyond, states across the political spectrum are advancing pro-homes policies to make it easier to build more homes. shelterforce.org/2026/05/20/s...

Connecticut’s delegation has supported bipartisan housing reform. Now, it’s time for the Senate to act. Thank you @blumenthal.senate.gov and @chrismurphyct.bsky.social for backing the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.
There is still more work ahead of us before the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act becomes a law, but it’s encouraging to see bipartisan leadership at the federal level to address Connecticut's housing shortage.
🍕 Pro-Homes CT Pro-Pizza Picnic on 6/13 It’s a wrap! Join us as we recap the legislative session with a slice (or two) in Wooster Park. This is the perfect chance to nerd-out, chat, and meet other pro-homes advocates from across the state. RSVP today - forms.gle/UZAzY75N3dFE...
Kayla Giordano, Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager at the Partnership for Strong Communities, has worked tirelessly for a pro-homes future. But why is she in this fight? Hear it from her!
On "Golden Girls" Being Killed - “Speaker Ritter meets the definition of a NIMBY in his opposition to this. He seemed OK with it, but just didn't want it in his neighborhood. I don't know what else to call it, other than ‘not in my backyard.’” peteharrison860.bsky.social, RPA CT Director.
Parking reform has always been bipartisan — but can advocates Casey Moran and Tom Broderick name a 🔴 and 🔵 state where it’s been done successfully? Hint: they can! Watch to find out where they name!
