Considering the context this year, it was especially heart-warming to hear so many different languages being spoken all around the Versailles gardens, with hundreds of reenactors coming from many different countries and you could tell everybody was having a great time despite the heat. (4/4)
Everyone was delightful and eager to share their (often hard earned) knowledge about even the tiniest details. (3/4)
With all its limits, I think this type of events, where you can just walk around living history embodied by passionate people is one of the best ways to get people into history. (2/4)
A little thread of photos I took during the "l'Amérique et Versailles" event, centered around the American revolutionary war and the French involvement in the conflict. (1/4)🔽
Best 4th of July was in Versailles this year, props to everyone participating despite the sweltering heat.
Everyone's talking of the new GTA game whilst I'm looking at the market, slowly accepting I won't be able to upgrade my PC ever again and will stick to 2D indie games and Paradoxe's 1 billion DLC catalogue.
So hu, I just finished watching Sisu, a movie about cowboy John Wick killing nazis in northern Finland. Funny how they left one minute detail out of the exposition though.
Fighting the heat with this 15th century snowball fight from the Heures d'Adélaide de Savoie (1450-1470)
Daffodil knight fantasy concept for Into the Barrowlands by Rift Publishing. We're mixing 13th century with Saxon-era influences 😊
Ho yeah I remember the Blitzkrieg series. So many great WWII strategy games back then. Talking about strategy without base building, how about:
From a time when Orcs where just a boar's head on a human body
Post a game you remember playing that nobody else remembers Full sword arm control and chopping off limbs physics, no pre-recorded animations, this game was so good and messy.
Post a game you remember playing that nobody else remembers I can't be the only one? 😭
Welcome back artists!🖌🎨✨️ Quote Post with an old piece that you still like! My very first concept for the A Song of Ice and Fire: Tactics project, back in 2022: Lyn Corbray ❤️
