Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve in San Francisco has a dense forest area, with eucalyptus trees (up to 200 feet tall), and lots of underbrush (lots of ferns, blackberries, and ivy) rolling over the hills. It's a great area for intermediate-level hiking on a hot day. More 👇 1/2

A good, entertaining overview of the current AI landscape/bubble﹠how we got here, the motivations of the main players, and some likely outcomes in the coming years. I doubt it’ll be the last Doctorow writes on this topic, and I’m here for future installments. 4/5

For those who read Cory’s blog (https://pluralistic.net), the book's topic﹠content will be familiar, but it was good to read it in a condensed﹠better edited format. It is mostly warnings﹠problem diagnosis with a few concrete solutions. I wish it had more of the latter. 🙏 3/5
