There is something missing from modern JRPGs and it kinda bugs me. Flavor text/Actions. I just spent 20 random minuets knocking all the coolers and seats off the Junon dock and not one npc said a thing. In the original I can think of 3 times youd a thing you shouldn't and an NPC calls you out.
I will be seeing my brother and his kids this weekend and maybe but not likely this little fucker.
Out of the mithril mine and at the doorstep of Junon, the stretching of some areas shrinks others and not in a good way. Also, why is combat so stun heavy, am I just that bad at it or is cloud always getting hit at stumbled every few seconds in combat.
I'm playing it again so I can comprehensively break down just why it didn't hit the mark for me.
On top of making special moments from the original FF7 as common as a 7-11 I feel FF7Rebirth lacks and drive to the altered story. You leave Kalm due to shinra arriving and looking for you, this drops the self imposed importance of following Sephiroth killing the overall feeling.
Ok I get it now, If this was how the hotel in my home town was designed I'd burn it to the ground too.
