Super mushroomy due to the shiitakes and also that mushroom powder that I added. Didn't really notice the lily that much, I discarded the first soaking liquid, but the flavour's still there in a subtle way. It's almost kind of a sour dried fruit flavour.
Added the soaked lilys and dried shiitakes to the gluten thing I made the other day. I have no idea how the lilys are going to taste hit fingers crossed.
According to my wife I have oddly good wrist flexibility for someone who doesn't do flexibility exercises.

It's taken me just about a year of almost daily practice to get to a point where I can even approach a Charlie Parker solo like this one. It's getting close but after four days of working on it I think I just need to put it aside and let my brain do it's thing, start on something else. Cosmic Rays.
This was really really good, actually. Tried to get as close as I could to a Shanghainese dish but I didn't have the right mushrooms so I used wood ear mushrooms and cabbage. It's just light and dark soy sauce and stock cubes. I didn't have any rice but it works great over noodles. Delicious.
