Running the #WestPapua outrage machine 24/7. Allergic to colonial bullshit, permanently disgusted with Indon in West Papua I live in airplane mode. Frequent flyer. 📍Berlin
Flying straight over Amsterdam city center On approach for Buitenveldertbaan (09/27)
8.3 km (27,000 ft). Descent underway. ✈️ 872 km/h. ~22 min to Schiphol. Crossing Drenthe now. IJsselmeer next, then lining up for Amsterdam.
SK1678 BER-CPH Thrust set. The engines spool up, the runway begins to blur, and in a few seconds Berlin is behind me. Positive rate. Gear up. Next stop: Copenhagen.
Flying again in 3 hours. Flights 103 and 104 are next. More than 100 flights in the last 15–16 months… Most people would probably be tired of airports by now. I’m still looking out the window before every departure
Flying again on Thursday. Usually it’s Berlin → Stockholm → Helsinki → Copenhagen → Amsterdam. This time it’s just Berlin → Copenhagen → Amsterdam. Scandinavian Airlines Business Class for 15,000 EuroBonus points + €43 in taxes. Apparently, I do know how to fly the short way.
122,000 Indigenous Papuans are internally displaced. Imagine nearly two completely full FC Barcelona Camp Nou stadiums. Now imagine every single person forced to flee their home. That is the scale of displacement in West Papua.
Horror Story 3 words? West Papua Silenced West Papua Betrayed West Papua Ignored West Papua Bleeds West Papua Erased West Papua Forsaken West Papua Endures West Papua Forgotten West Papua Deforestation West Papua IDPs
122,000 Indigenous Papuan IDPs. Imagine nearly two completely full Camp Nou stadiums (FC Barcelona) forced to flee their homes. That is the scale of displacement in West Papua. No safe place. No home. 122,000 Indigenous Papuans displaced by military conflict. West Papua
On ICE 241, doing 119 km/h, somewhere between Hengelo and Bad Bentheim, with Berlin sitting there on the horizon of the map like a promise.
Heading east to Berlin. Rolling Thunder loaded with 5 liter apple juice, Dutch cheese, soup, snacks, bread rolls and entirely reasonable quantities of liquorice. Estimated arrival: tonight
Going back to Berlin by train tomorrow, so I did a small grocery run. 5 ltr apple juice, bread rolls, soup, liquorice, snacks, cheese, smoked meats, yoghurt and a few emergency supplies to survive a minor railway disruption. Deutsche Bahn may be unpredictable. My logistics planning is not.
If Indonesia ‘owns’ West Papua, why not claim all of Melanesia — PNG, Solomons, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji? By Jakarta logic, Melanesians are just Asians.
There’s an ocean of blood soaking the Metamorphic Belt & Foreland Basin — because that’s where the world’s purest gold and copper lie. In West Papua, the geology shines, the people die, and the mining companies call it “business as usual.”
Indonesia carved up Western New Guinea twice — turning one colonially grabbed province into six. — Why? Easy: control the natural resources, dilute the indigenous population, and wrap it all in the usual fairy tales of “governance” and “development.” #WestPapua
The Netherlands: once masters of an empire, now masters of awkward silence. #WestPapua burns, forests vanish, Papuans are killed—and the Dutch? Busy feeling guilty, whispering shame, pretending it’s ancient history. Congrats: you exported colonialism, imported moral paralysis, and call it closure
Dutch Colonialism in West Papua (until ~1962): Classic European style: flags, missionaries & racial superiority. Minimum infrastructure; mainly used Papua as outpost, not a priority. Some gestures toward self-determination right before they bailed—like a shady apology note after looting your house.
West Papua Grasberg Mine, world's largest and most productive gold mine. Copper, gold & uranium reserves worth around $100 / 150 billion. This mine is an absolute guarantee for the deliberate, systematic, intentional action to destroy the indigenous Papuan people
West Papua sits on two gold monsters: Grasberg (808 t) and Wabu Block (252 t). Over 1,000 t of gold — a third of the world’s yearly output — and Papuans get nothing but bullets, bans, and “development” written in someone else’s blood.
The Dutch love to parade as champions of human rights—always the first to scream for justice in Palestine, and anywhere else that flatters their moral ego. Mention West Papua, their own colonial mess, suddenly it’s amnesia o’clock. Saints? More like selective humanitarians with a goldfish memory
On 24 August 1828, the Netherlands claimed the land west of 141° East: Dutch New Guinea. What followed was a history written in blood — betrayal, broken promises, false hope, genocide, ecocide, deforestation, palm oil, and resource plunder. | West Papua
Can anyone explain the story of #NewGuinea, how it was sliced up by the Dutch, British, Germany & how the US and Indonesia: a shit clusterfuck of islands is fucking up #WestPapua, murdering the black indigenous & plunder natural resources. #Nederland #Netherlands
I shit on every fucking media outlet and everyone that chooses to use 'separatist' for indigenous Papuans, you all shit. There is no separatist movement in #WestPapua. There are freedom fighters who are defenders of truth & the last defender of the West Papuan people & West Papuan land
Met Lena today. She turned out to be a cheese shop. The relationship lasted about ten minutes and cost me €14.95. 🧀
The Copenhagen–Amsterdam flight was routine. Same approach. Same Polderbaan runway. Same 20-minute taxi to the gate. The only thing missing was my suitcase. The North Face Rolling Thunder 28 that I checked in at Helsinki, decided to remain in Copenhagen for a little longer.
Today was my 100th SAS flight in 15 months. ✈️ The crew surprised me with a handwritten card signed by the Captain, First Officer and Flight Attendants, plus a bag of snacks. Feeling honored, grateful, and very lucky to be part of so many journeys with SAS. 💙
Boarded my 100th SAS flight today. I handed a box of Karl Fazer chocolates to the crew and said: “This is for you. Today is my 100th SAS flight in 15 months.” The flight attendant looked surprised, smiled, thanked me, asked where I was seated, and wished me a good flight. Small moment. Big smile
The Finnish morning sun has decided to turn the waiting area into a Renaissance painting. Boarding in 5 minutes
Today is my 100th SAS flight in less than 15 months. Bought a box of Karl Fazer chocolates for the crew. This is either a nice gesture or the final stage of airline loyalty.
This is Finland. Everything here is apparently born in a sauna. The sunrise. The airport. The tote bag.
Helsinki Airport security reaches new levels of efficiency. I scanned my SAS Gold boarding pass at Priority Security. The gate opened. Dropped my backpack. I walked through. That’s it. Total time: about 60 seconds!
