Just finished it. What an amazing game, damn! I can't believe I slept on it for so long! The story and writing are SO great, the gameplay SO satisfying, the art/art direction SO stylish and the sound design SO atmospheric! Just superb! Fully got in the survival horror spirit so the stats track 🙈

Yup, if they were using ChatGPT that would be true. But according to this they've got something more complex going on under the hood than just ChatGPT. It's definitely designed to improve from user interaction and input. So more users means "better" chatbots. careersatdoordash.com/blog/buildin...

Figure 5 shows the evaluation system we built to measure and improve agent quality end to end. At a high level, the system constructs a transcript for each session, capturing user inputs, agent responses, tool calls, tool outputs, and grounding context. A suite of LLM-as-judge, calibrated against human-reviewed labels, evaluates the transcript against the relevant rubric. Guardrail evals monitor critical agent behaviors such as session integrity and safety, surfacing failures that could break user trust. Capability evals measure quality dimensions such as result quality and execution quality, helping us quantify agent performance across the parts of the experience we care about. Offline and online evals share the same rubric and judge, so calibration stays aligned between development and production. The forthcoming agentic evaluation post goes deeper on individual components of this system.

As online evals run, background agents cluster failures, perform deep-dive investigation, and generate reports for the team. Some reports identify bugs in the assistant itself, such as broken item-selection logic. Others uncover gaps in the evaluation system, such as an LLM-as-judge prompt producing false positives. The team reviews each report, makes the necessary changes, generates synthetic sessions through the simulator, and validates the results offline against the same rubric before deploying to production.

1. Diagnosing and treating illness is too complex for a machine

Al tools don't have access to your full medical record - and you shouldn't upload or share it with them. These tools can't examine you or run tests the way a healthcare professional can. They don't have the ability to reason like a human or explain how they came to a conclusion. These qualities are necessary for making safe and accurate medical decisions.

2. Al can be wrong, even when it sounds confident

Al chatbots give answers based on patterns in data. They don't "know" facts in the way a health professional does. Sometimes Al information sounds true but is completely incorrect. This is known as hallucination. For example, when asked how to get more minerals from food, Al has been known to recommend eating rocks.

3. Al-created information may be biased

Al systems are trained on large amounts of data that may contain bias or gaps. That means it may not reflect everyone's experience fairly. For example, an Al system that learned from information about people in the United States and parts of Europe might miss signs of depression. That's because it doesn't know that in some cultures, people show sadness through physical symptoms like headaches or tiredness, rather than talking about their feelings.

Al doesn't know what's true and what's not. It may pull answers from flawed or misleading sources it finds online. When people see alarming health stories online, they often forward or repost them even if they know the information may not be true. As false information spreads, there's more of it online. Al may then repeat that false information.
