Here's a screenshot of the settings page, for convenience. This works just fine even if your account isn't hosted on Blacksky. Note that Blacksky afaik doesn't have or plan any genAI systems. And personally I'd set 'Embedding' to 'Allow' as creative to remain properly discoverable through ML.
EN titles according to author's twitter: Possessive Inspector Best Compatibility: Loyal Hound of the Night Road "Swamp" Compatibility: Prisoner of the Underground Jail
@frooxius.bsky.social @resonite.com Have you thought about using the "Go live" feature on here, btw? I know notifications exist, but this is nice for stumbling across a stream when I'm not on my phone.
@sirmeow.gay Bit random, but have you ever thought about using the podcast:funding tag in your feeds? Because links in show descriptions often aren't clickable and that'd give you a nice button to go to the Patreon.
@pinksky.app Small UI nitpick: The gallery dots are almost invisible (on my ancient monitor) in front of images that are mostly white. Would be nice to have a little more contrast or border there.
SubscribeStar's subscriber UX (in general!) is now light years ahead of Patreon's. I'm pretty sure parts of Patreon are intentionally obtuse to prevent unsubscribes, and it keeps forcing unrelated creators on me. Subs.Star's design feels respectful:
Seems about right. My dream is kinda settling down with someone and growing old together, however that may look 🤭
Eh, the video is plenty critical of the idea. And IF they manage to somehow come up with consistent finite general-enough mathematics, that's still going to be interesting at least. (This bit is just the punchline, there's a bit more in the video on why she personally doesn't think it makes sense.
Tried out @bookhive.buzz just now by reviewing Winging It Vol. 1&2 by @parttimedragons.bsky.social. The star ratings from bookhive.buzz/profile/qazm... did show up on @popfeed.social (popfeed.social/profile/qazm...) too, but not the review. Looking at the data via @pdsls.dev, it was backdated 🤔
I updated my Bluesky cheatsheet a bit with additional Feeds and this new "Beyond Bluesky" category that lists other services you can use with your account here. I also added Wafrn to "Beyond ATProto" since that straddles protocols to let you post both here and privately through ActivityPub.
"Literally Yourself" hahahaha (I did that with that YouTube-on-AT app.) But yes, this works! It doesn't distinguish direct or via-list blocks, but there are only nine accounts I both block and follow so those are easy to check manually.
@aendra.com I'm getting 'Failed to submit appeal, please try again.' on appealing to xblock. Would be nice if that was fixed eventually since I can't report my own mislabelled posts. (Negligible impact in this case though, I'd say.)
You may want to revisit the header and footer soon to remove the dead social links and lorem ipsum there. I had a few visual glitches outside of that (site title in the header barely visible and missing text insert below during checkout after 'Pay with …'-flow), but otherwise it worked well.
Just since @wolf.observer had mentioned node-based coding before, play.google.com/store/apps/d... seems like a nice implementation of that. It can do cool stuff like concurrency and cross-phone scripting, but can only automate third party stuff by launching apps (which is very powerful, but techy).
Pretty sure this is because I'm not competitive in the adversarial way. I don't think that or hardship are necessary in life to be highly motivated.
I don't know why this is a thing, but I guess I can record it as one-off event in the calendar too. Bit too spicy for the "SFW" calendar though, even if the art I've seen is hardly explicit. It should show up in the calendar soon, I'll make the link in its description clickable eventually too.
I think Discord has some filters in place now against this scam, so they're trying the same script here on Bluesky. (I reported it, obviously.) Sadly there are people who fall for this. The next step would likely be a phishing link or malware download, perhaps after a screenshot of the "report".
Interesting @bsky.app edge case: Following myself in @skytube.video means I now appear as known follower to myself here. Side-note: I had to use the magic eraser to redact this since Google Photos still doesn't have *any* sensible redaction tools. Why did it add that image 🫠
Interesting feature I just noticed: At bsky.app/settings/pri..., you can choose who may enable post notifications for your account.
