15. Hades 2 Guys, Hades 2 is so fucking good already. I get if you're put off by early access, but I can at least assure you that it's ALREADY better than Hades 1 and it's not even complete yet. Really incredible how it improves upon everything from the first and I can't wait to see it done.

14. Monster Hunter: Rise I could honestly pick any of the Monster Hunters I've played (Rise, World, GU, 3U) but I'm giving it to the one that got me into the series. A damn good onboarding for Monster Hunter and a blast to jump in and play without much fuss.

13. Final Fantasy VIII Not technically my first Final Fantasy, but my first main series that I completed. I know it's not well regarded and it is extremely flawed for many reasons, but I just fell in love and still rate it as my favorite. Also Seifer Almasy is my mewmew.

12. Tales from the Borderlands I almost put BL2 here until I remembered the game I love even more. Even without the fascinating exploration of Handsome Jack, Rhys and Fiona are so compelling, and no other game has gotten me to feel so much for a Loader Bot. Hidden Telltale gem honestly

11. Left 4 Dead 2 Evergreen co-op game, can always go back and play this with friends, helped out by amazingly memorable characters and humor to balance The Horrors

10. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future Another tossup, here been this and Last Spectre, but the high concept and the way it ties up the story of the original trilogy is so good and emotional I have to give it the edge. Masterful puzzle game and story.

9. Bowser's Inside Story My favorite of the Mario RPG series, a super fun and memorable jaunt with legendary music. Not every part is fun (cough giant Bowser train fight) but the rest of the game is worth it honestly

8. Uncharted 2 A tossup betweenn this one and 4, but nostalgia gives 2 the edge alongside the setpieces. Honestly just a really fun, simple cinematic romp with fun gameplay and characters alike. Sometimes that's all you need!

7. Prey (2017) Now this... Is likely my favorite video game of all time. Dripping with atmosphere, enemy design that always has you on edge, and satisfying progression no matter how you choose to power yourself up, as the game evolves from a survival horror to a power romp. Superb immersive sim.

6. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Not my first Zelda game, but certainly my favorite. Such a creative world that uses the shrinking mechanic amazingly, rewarding exploration, and just a great journey all around

5. Team Fortress 2 Still my game with my highest play time on Steam! Haven't played in a long time but still plenty of great memories. My first Steam game (Orange Box) and where I made a ton of friends, some of which I still have today. It's just so fun and unique and a true multiplayer classic
