Yes! I usually hit them up. Got some great skulls for my bathroom that I spray painted copper last year.
I may have previously, subconsciously realized - but it’s become clear since my last day with my last company that the amount I was reading was largely due to depression. I have slowed way down. And it feels OK. I’m grateful it was a non-destructive way for me to deal.
So I’ve had a savings account for years for travel and ridiculous things. I’m a saver. The past few yrs my goal has been to go feral at the LEGO store. & I did. Not pictured, Rivendell on backorder. The botanicals are gorgeous. I’m going to bedazzle them.

Finally got a bad drive in my NAS. Consider myself pretty lucky as I originally built it with the 2TB drives about 10yrs ago. Upgrading to 4x4TB now.
So a few years ago my bestie gave me her heavyweight recipe for White Chicken Chili. Froze this batch a few weeks ago. It’s even better now. I want to spread the love. If you would like her (hilarious) recipe, DM me. I could drink the broth daily. (Not a super thick chili).
2025 Reading roundup. I set out with no goals, but in late 2024 I quit all Meta social media (fuck those dorks) and anytime I would have been scrolling, I ended up reading. Happy to say, aside from not being independently wealthy, I’m living 8-yr-old R2’s dream life, and that’s nice.

After 100k pages, 200 books felt gauche to announce. But the past few days, it took 3 days to read 500 pages because I paused to clean house. Anyhow.

Yesterday was our 17th wedding anniversary (who said it wouldn’t last?) We engaged in an absolutely lovely weekend at the lake with lots of rain (weird for us in AZ, so we really appreciate it). Pics from the porch Sat afternoon, then Sun morning during a storm.

Was a slow reading weekend, but hit 140 for the year. I honestly did not set out to beat last year but here we all are.
