Your stream and the stream's chat, your VODs, your Clips, Highlights, and any text or images on your Channel may be used. If you chat on someone else's stream, their opt-out preferences govern if that chat can be used for training.

Huh. I didn't know Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has a PhD in AI. Yes, the tech was far less invasive and destructive than it is now, but this to me means it's inevitable. I'm debating disabling/deleting clips/VODs and will be backing them all up. (Source: variety.com/2019/digital... article from 2019)

Clancy most recently was VP of product and engineering for Nextdoor, a social-networking service for neighborhood communities. Prior to joining Nextdoor in 2014, he spent nearly 10 years in leadership roles at Google across engineering, product and research and served as NASA’s head of information sciences and technology. He graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and theater and earned a PhD in artificial intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin.

Huh. The super secret StreamElements thing is that they're becoming a subsidiary of Razer. I've worked with Razer before in the past assisting with prototypes of arcade sticks and they were pretty cool to work with. The CEO even reached out personally and thanked me. So yeah, I'm cool with that.

I asked the devs of Low-Budget Repairs if they'd used any generative AI and they responded with the following: As of right now, there is no Steam disclosure. Publisher is PlayWay S.A., because of course it is. Tagging @duckaislop.bsky.social so they can add it to the list.

Yes AI was used, but only as a supporting tool in selected areas, including some translations, music production, and the creation of a limited number of visual assets.
AI was not used to generate gameplay systems, game logic, procedural content during gameplay, or program code.
Every AI-assisted asset was reviewed and manually integrated by our team.
Level design is 100% human work.
AI translations are verified by the community as we announced earlier in the translators wanted post.
Voice over was made using ivona synthesizer only as a templete to be sure that it sounds awkward so we do not leave it to production, final voice over that you hear is made by human voice actors (some better some worse).

Okay, the moment I heard that Sos Sosowski (the McPixel guy) made an incremental game I busted into the Steam store like the Kool Aid Man and slammed my money down so hard they felt it in the southern hemisphere.

Then he was like "hey do any content creators want to review the game?" and I said "Ha! Joke's on you, I already bought it! BWAHAHAHAHAHA." and said I'd review it anyway.

So here's that review.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite soccer game. It's got all the genre staples, from zombies and wizards to giant ball-sucking combines and chickens that lay eggs that explode into hordes of ball-headed maniacs who charge into the goal.

Wait, soccer doesn't have any of that? Okay, soccer sucks then, and Sos made it better.

On a serious note, from a person who plays a lot of incremental games (I have two going at this very moment) I very much enjoyed this one. It's the right amount of silly, has some great options that other games need to implement (like actively changing the roles your players have), and has a prestige system that's level/match-based where I didn't realize it was a prestige system until the end of the game.

Your players can also get run over by McPixel on a bike, so there's that.

I keep turning back to jokes, but that's just how this game is. You keep trying to play it seriously but then realize that you need more hooligans because ninjas keep beating the crap out of your farmers and that this is a soccer game and you end up wishing this is what the World Cup was like.

Also, that I got 22 hours out of a $2.99 game is a steal. It's fun, it'll make you question your life, and it supports someone who genuinely seems like a decent person. Just go buy it.

I found out that Zenless Zone Zero released on Steam today. Sooooo I downloaded it just to write a negative review bashing them for using GenAI, especially because they didn't disclose it in the Steam store page. I also brought up the incident with @michaelkamm.games his game Ouros being stolen.

!!! WARNING: USES GENERATIVE AI BUT HASN'T DISCLOSED IT ON STEAM !!!

I loved this game. I played it for nearly a year and had probably 800 hours in it.

However I noticed in an update in March that the devs implemented a feature where it uses GenAI to generate a team composition and strategy for you to use for the Deadly Assault mode.

This upset me, and inspired me to do some digging. I found out that the devs used AI development tools during initial development (and has continued to use it). In May 2026 Hoyoverse announced they are investing $14.6 billion into AI over the next three years. They are actively posting job listings seeking to fill positions that will heavily use GenAI.

They are also notorious for stealing game mechanics from other devs. One such example in ZZZ is a particular puzzle game in Season 2 (2025) involving manipulating a line and making it pass through certain dots in order. This was actually stolen from a 2024 game called Ouros by developer Michael Kamm. Hamm has video evidence of this.

So, Solarpunk is a mediocre game in that there's no story or characters (or even a point) but that also gives it a purity of being free from distractions. I still hate the name, though. It has nothing to do with Solarpunk, as there's no anti-authoritarianism or reclamation of the urban environment.
