Adblockers for Chromium and Firefox. If a streamer chastises you for this, saying that their ad revenues are part of their livelihoods, tell them that it's not personal and that it's on Twitch. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/iaokp... addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...
From now on, unless a streamer lets me know they opted out, I will not be participating in chat in any form. I am also cancelling my Turbo and installing an ad blocker. PEOPLE DO NOT WANT THIS. MY DATA AND CONTENT IS NOT YOURS, TWITCH.
Huh. I didn't know Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has a PhD in AI. Yes, the tech was far less invasive and destructive than it is now, but this to me means it's inevitable. I'm debating disabling/deleting clips/VODs and will be backing them all up. (Source: variety.com/2019/digital... article from 2019)
Huh. The super secret StreamElements thing is that they're becoming a subsidiary of Razer. I've worked with Razer before in the past assisting with prototypes of arcade sticks and they were pretty cool to work with. The CEO even reached out personally and thanked me. So yeah, I'm cool with that.
Che is grooming himself on my desk and he keeps farting and MAN is it pungent... #ChePurrvara
I asked the devs of Low-Budget Repairs if they'd used any generative AI and they responded with the following: As of right now, there is no Steam disclosure. Publisher is PlayWay S.A., because of course it is. Tagging @duckaislop.bsky.social so they can add it to the list.
I did! I also wrote that review that I promised. Get reviewed!
Also special shoutouts to Popeye the Sailor, one of my favorite childhood characters and a nonbinary icon!
Yep, I had some Steam credit and deffo chucked it their way. (I already owned Gato Roboto)
Yet there are still like, two or three people on the Steam forums complaining about how weird it is and how it makes the devs look bad. I swear, the lack of critical thinking in some people... I love the dev response, though XD
"AI is inevitable, get used to it." You remember the shovelware problem the WII had? Well, it's worse now by a golden mile, even worse than mobile gaming ever was. Look how much AI slop one of these "developers" releases on one day. All hail your glorious world-destroying plagiarism machine.
Can confirm it works in-app as well using the Millennium + Extendium method. Thank you so much for your work!
I found out that Zenless Zone Zero released on Steam today. Sooooo I downloaded it just to write a negative review bashing them for using GenAI, especially because they didn't disclose it in the Steam store page. I also brought up the incident with @michaelkamm.games his game Ouros being stolen.
Oh it absolutely works, baby! Man I love you so much right now...
Mark, the heck are you doing over there? Nobody's falling for that gruff angsty bear crap with you sitting over there being all emo... dude is probably listening to Welcome to the Black Parade on repeat on his earbuds or something #CoralIsland
So, Solarpunk is a mediocre game in that there's no story or characters (or even a point) but that also gives it a purity of being free from distractions. I still hate the name, though. It has nothing to do with Solarpunk, as there's no anti-authoritarianism or reclamation of the urban environment.
Just got this email from Paypal. "How businesses are preparing for AI-driven commerce" How about "they're not, and quit propagandizing people into thinking it's a more important tool than it actually is in an attempt to recoup the absurd amount of money you've put into it, you ignorant waffles"?
Just discovered a neat trick: If you go to github.com/claude and click "block user" then every GitHub repo you visit that uses Claude code will gain a warning label. Kind of a neat trick. (credit goes to MCC on Mastodon for finding this out! mastodon.social/@mcc/1161154... )
Just had a legit website come up with this as a verification captcha. I'm not doing it because it is THE most irresponsible captcha I've ever seen. No website should ever be telling its users that copy/pasting an unknown command into a run command on your local machine is a good thing.
All I know is someone is definitely justifying being on my block list right now...
Well, I didn't have "Boycott every Sega product 2026 and after" on my bingo card, but after seeing this on the Crazy Taxi listing, here we are...
Twitter's been taken down. Wiped my media, likes, follows, and tweets. Next is Facebook, but due to circumstances I can't completely wipe it. It'll be severely hamstrung, though.
Welp, that's done! Even deleted my likes and replies. That account does not exist on Insta anymore except for a throwaway account for activism and it feels GOOD.
