It’s crazy to think that we’re coming up to a year without this guy. So much has happened since then and I miss my best buddy every single day.
I kind of love this series. They’re rough around the edges, jump to insane conclusions, and aren’t particularly big thinkers, but boy howdy they’re really fun to read. Maximum horror fluff.
Hoooobaby The Hill in the Dark Gove absolutely rocks. A banger of a folk horror novel. I love any horror plays with isolation and this one is desolate, really eerie, and gorgeously written. (Fair warning that the animals have a rough time in this one. But then again so does everyone in it.)
I’ve been in a bummer of a reading slump for most of the year but these books in particular have helped pull me out of it.
I spent a lot of my time reading Lost Lambs wondering what the hype was all about and when it would finally click to me. People kept telling me to stick with it which I rarely do when I’m not vibing with a book. The back half knocked my socks off in the best way.
Started The Hill In The Dark Grove this morning and it might be the best horror novel I’ve read so far this year.
Might’ve been a bastard but this boy sure did have his mama’s crazy eyes
We were watching pokemon trivia and then she fell asleep I love her so much
Sorry it’s been HOW MANY YEARS since World War Z came out?!?!?!?
if you love widow’s bay and have somehow missed out on dredge & oxenfree then I suggest you play both of them asap
Meet Eve (aka Evie aka Master Splinter). She’s three months old and two lbs and I love her.
I can’t put my finger on what the name for it is but Patricia and Dot from Fargo have the same energy and it really rocks.
Second big event I’m working this week so I opted to wear my shark shirt to let people know what’s up.
Impossible to get an actual decent still of this moment but between the faces he makes and the physical comedy Matthew Rhys is pulling off something truly Charlie Chaplin like in Widow’s Bay and it absolutely rocks
