this is out today (my preorder came in early) - it’s not necessarily going to be The Frame for me, but I have been chewing for a couple weeks on what it has to say about how power operates at work/across bodies, and how folks might come to believe that power structures could be otherwise.
one A Lot Going On book that I think more people should know about is Sophia Terazawa’s Tetra Nova (some things going on include a big fractured family saga, migration, a tiny panda, Tetris): portersquarebooks.com/book/9781646...
I considered adjusting the lighting on this to bring out the purple and orange of the can but that seemed like a bridge too far

some books I finished and loved in June OTOSIM: “What is a mother? … Someone who knocks chips in your soul that will never mend.” TAOA: you can probably guess why I liked this one WAIAD: “it wasn’t something interpersonal that irked her, but an issue with his theory of rhythm”
lfg. (someone sent me a little thing of book darts and i marked out the chronological sequence. it’s very satisfying)

made pesto out of this pile of scapes and a little roasted green chile, lime, salt, evoo, walnuts. if I were a flavor profile it would be this pesto
i did not intend to be awake at this o’clock but since we’re here, have a good light update
on second thought, maybe don’t get someone who looks at you the way she looks at her shredded catnip chef’s knife
