it's a little annoying to devote so much time telling people about delisting and geoblocks etc yay we live in hell (btw I don't blame itch, I do believe they're doing their best)
since I updated the existing Radiator 2 package, the game is already 87% Very Positive (1238 reviews) but of course all positive reviews are appreciated and literally make Steam gayer

first pass at swimming and perching... I really want to implement backstroke but I can't find a decent anim
making a little hockney homage game. main ideas are swimming and distortion. not sure how it should end yet though
cool paper arguing LLMs can be implemented as a shitload of goats in Age of Empires II... thus it'd be silly to assume / project human-like consciousness onto it
new level design theory: "horizontality", kinda like "verticality", how the scale / wideness / density / footprint of the level affects player movement... the further away your camera, the more horizontality you likely need to accommodate camera clipping + faster player movement + claustrophobia
watching @gameworkerscon.bsky.social (on a delay) at the viewing party here in Aotearoa New Zealand!! southern hemisphere best hemisphere!!
slightly disappointing these ikea instructions resort to printing the word “click”
agreed, very stunning... apparently they were designed in 1982 by Gordon Crook! archivesonline.wcc.govt.nz/nodes/view/1...
keanu’s love interest in point break is like a proto trinity (matrix) / feels like his butch double. the last act kinda wastes her character though, a bit of a shame
doing more rugby research, this time “Attacking the Space” by Sam Larner… it’s nice to read a recent book for once, citing players I’ve actually heard of
reading a rugby coaching book for research… I was surprised they cite Vygotsky, Piaget, and even Dewey / Freire vibes, but I guess even rugby academics are still academics
I liked this photo series at Auckland Art Gallery, learned about a famous gay dolphin named Opo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opo_(do...
working on some gooner game design theory slides for Play By Play ( @nzgamesfest.bsky.social ) in a couple weeks in Wellington, inspired by aussie "gooner pop" duo 2charm
like look at this Detail of suspender, wheel, and motor of a GTW 72 Wuppertaler Schwebebahn - a perfectly captured reference photo en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuppert...
new vlog: super loud brutalist noise art show inside an old cement silo in Tāmaki / Auckland
I like @markwarren.bsky.social 's take on the "anti-woke" KCD2 director's gayming award nomination ( www.rockpapershotgun.com/kingdom-come... )
