I talk about video games, food, bikes, making things, technology, and sometimes bad jokes. I'm a trans woman, and am very tired of it all. north carolina. 18+ only!
I mean, just look at this. the image actually looks okay as long as there's no movement, but the minute something starts moving the clarity goes to shit. anyways, I think it's wonderful and such a fascinating contrast to the CGB-001 I spent more time with in my youth
look at this pack of cigarettes my mom got in italy. like they are not fucking around over with public health
lol, look at this photo an ebay seller is using to justify asking $190 for a boxed copy of mechwarrior 2
ikea has this new storage chest for kid's rooms that looks like a mimic, and I applaud this kind of thinking. it's good to teach children about the dangers of mimics early, so they don't fall prey to one the first time they go adventuring
another incredible find at the game store today, this time it's a copy of mortal kombat 3 but it's featuring trogdor the burninator. I checked with the staff and apparently someone just keeps trading in these games, and it warms my heart every time to see them out in the world
the other day I stopped by @limitedrungames.com and saw this incredible Chocobo no Fushigi Dungeon edition Wonderswan. one of my favorite parts of going to stores with older games and hardware is always finding cool things that I never even knew existed!
okay, I blew all the dust out with a datavac and cleaned the cartridge slot. the shell got a gentle scrub with a magic eraser and now all the nastiness is gone and it looks/feels much better! capacitors look okay but I'll still probably replace them eventually, this thing is 25 years old after all
I have obtained it...one of the most disgusting looking SNES consoles in existence
found something amazing while looking through my purchase history
one of the other racers is literally named Public Enemy No. 1, like this is straight out of the game manual. you mean to tell me that she gets to ride off into the sunset because the moto cop decided to go after me all race instead?
I went by a few used game stores after my interview today (turns out Limited Run Games also sells used games, which rocks!) and at one of them I found this amazing copy of Contra for NES:
I'm finally jumping into #RandomGameSaturday with the 6-Pak for Sega Genesis, where you get 6 great* games for the price of one! *some of these games aren't actually great, but it's still a good value if you're just getting back into physical games like me
no, but I found someone who posted it on reddit during the outage:
a little sneak peak at what I've been working on recently! still have a lot to do, but it's coming together and I'm excited to see this little project start to become reality
since there's pokemon stuff happening this morning, check out these pieces of ephemera I dug out from my attic spelunking! I remember being so hyped for this game, it was one of the main reasons I wanted an N64 as a kid
I had to make another run to the landfill today, and as someone who is hunting for a CRT I was seriously considering crawling in to this dumpster to pull something out until one of the employees there came over and told me I couldn't take anything. this hurts to look at, man
did you all know that there used to be a game development company called BlueSky Software? they were around from the late 80s until 2001, very ahead of their time with the name. I wonder if any of them wound up on here
you couldn't make a game called Mr. Nutz today. for obvious reasons.
found another freak of a controller...the microsoft sidewinder dual strike, which I guess lets you bend and twist the right half of the controller around as an alternative to a right analog stick. looks like it'd be horrible to use in practice, but you have to admire the attempt!
I crawled into the depths of the attic space to retrieve the boxes for my childhood Playstations that I had seen back there, and in the process I unearthed a few more treasures! the Tomb Raider box doesn't have the game sadly and I knew the PS boxes were empty, but still not a bad haul!
aldi: how can we save money on our packaging? easy, no unnecessary copy on the side of the box and we just put a massive barcode there instead
rolling up in the official 1998 pikachu volkswagen beetle so they know I'm serious
