Although the movie bombed (I liked it... people didn't remember the original TV show), Will Smith did a fun adaptation of Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" with changed lyrics which played over the end credits for the 1999 theatrical release. #AT40

The Alice Cooper group, a week before this 11/13/71 #AT40, released their absolutely best album, "Killer." Though the singles from this album ("Under My Wheels" and "Be My Lover") charted, they missed Casey's countdown. The group would be back in the Top 10 next summer... with a song about school 😉
Since Maxine Nightingale always sends some of us to this particular movie: is everyone aware that that's Ralphie's mom (from "A Christmas Story") in that extended in-bed scene between Paul Newman and the wife of another hockey player? Shocking 😄! #AT40

Why didn't I buy Paul Simon's "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" way back when? I loved "Kodachrome," and really liked "Loves Me Like A Rock." But, when you're a kid, your finances are finite, and you have to pick and choose. The flashy rockers always won out! (I'll pick it up one of these days!) #AT40

Always have to give a shoutout to Three Dog Night MVP, keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon. Yes, Hoyt Axton wrote "Joy To The World," but it was Jimmy who wrote that hook-y keyboard intro. Makes all the difference! May '71 on #AT40
