Perfectly aware that embedders will mostly embed by language rather than locality😅, I still wanted to know how much map like the 2D projections would look like. (E.g. this is Harrier 270m embedding 15k largest cities with country en/en.) More: divepool.social/analyses/cit...

Is this normal? Anyhow: keep your batteries full!

Lot‘s of Apple devices (watch, pods, MacBook), some Bose headphones, a power bank, two triple As, most loading via lots of black and white cables. Power supply plugged into adapter that has USB ports too, plugged into power outlet that has even more USB A ports. One empty MagSafe.
I did only switch to Mac ecosystem recently from Android. Should I buy stock?! Oh, and an HDMI/LAN to USB-C adapter plugged into the Mac, showing Bluesky in Firefox btw..

Somewhat related: with English speaker influx, language detection mismatches drop, with non English, they do not, probably since they contain more language switchers. ~3% error rate overall. Detection via lingua-go. Cobbled together with incomplete data, so would appreciate confirmation by others.

The chart highlights two major migration events: the Brazil Wave on August 31, 2024, when X was banned in Brazil, causing mismatch rates to spike dramatically from 3% to 8.7% as Portuguese speakers flooded the platform; and the US Wave in mid-November 2024 following the US election, which paradoxically dropped mismatch rates to 2.3% despite a 4x volume increase, as the influx was predominantly English speakers who declared their language correctly. The contrast between these two spikes illustrates how international migrations increase language mismatches while English-dominant migrations decrease them.
