Today's REM breakdown is deeply concerning. According to CTV, passengers were trapped on a stalled train for nearly 90 minutes on a hot summer afternoon with no air conditioning. People became dizzy, and one passenger reportedly fainted. www.ctvnews.ca/montreal/art...
O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: Over the last 7 days, 39 unique trains were observed, giving a fleet visibility of 62.9% for full tracked fleet. Over the last 30 days, 41 unique trains were observed. 22 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and 3 trains were observed back in service this week.
This morning, LRVs 1105 and 1110 have returned to service (absent since January). This brings our 7 day rolling total to 39, and our 30 day rolling total to 40 (the first increase in 17 days). tracker.railfans.ca

O-Train Line 1 - Fleet Update 🚆 Fleet visibility has stalled. Over the last 7 days, 36 unique trains were observed in service (58.1% of the tracked fleet), while 38 unique trains have been seen over the last 30 days.

Improved weekday frequency on O-Train Line 1, as of August 30th ---Every 4 minutes at peak periods (from every 5 minutes) ---Every 6 minutes midday (from every 10 minutes) ---Every 7 minutes in the early evening (from every 10 minutes) ---Double-car trains on weekdays
Over the last 7 days, 38 unique trains were observed, representing a full tracked fleet visibility of 61.3%. 24 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days. Stage 2 East to Orleans: Estimated to reach target of 54 trains for Trial Running: Sep 2, 2026, assuming current conditions continue.
Of course if you are going to talk about opening the line and a ribbon cutting… you definitely need some props.

⚠️ O-Train Line 1 is operating every 8 minutes today after overnight damage to the overhead catenary east of uOttawa Station. Trains are using westbound platforms only at uOttawa, Lees and Hurdman. Enhanced E1 and morning R1 bus service is available while repairs are assessed.
O-Train Line 1 Fleet Update: There is a trend of acceleration of trains returning to service (absent since mid-January). 3 LRVs have returned to service in the last 24 hours. LRV1149 on Sunday and this afternoon LRVs 1117+1133 have returned. Good news is on the horizon...
O-Train Update: Over the last 7 days, 31 unique trains were observed, giving a 50% visibility of the full tracked fleet. Over the last 30 days, 33 unique trains were observed. 30 trains have not been seen for 15 or more days, and 0 trains were observed back in service this week after long absences.
OC Transpo is temporarily reducing O-Train Line 4 weekend frequency to every 24 minutes through the fall to improve reliability while staffing is stabilized. Service may double to every 12 minutes for Cohere Centre events. Route 105 continues to serve the airport. In effect as of Sunday, June 28.

O-Train Line 1 morning update. 12 two-car trains went out this morning. One set (1115+1127) were removed and returned to Belfast Yard, leaving 11 two-car trains in service. Target is 13 trains.
Our website is experiencing extended downtime due to a problem with the host. We hope to be back online as soon as possible.
O-Train Line 2 and 4 Proactive Maintenance June 13 and 14 - FULL LINE CLOSURES. Multiple maintenance activities have been coordinated to occur over the weekend, including an end-to-end track inspection which requires a full line closure. R2 Bayview to Limebank for Line 2. Route 105 replaces Line 4
This coming Monday (June 8th), don’t miss the full return of double-car (aka two-car, coupled trains, etc…) service on O-Train Line 1. 13 trains coming every 5 minutes with 600 passenger capacity, and stopping along the full platform length, weekday service will be returning to normal. #ottawa
