Beautiful first sunset in Tahoe. We’re tucking in early because we’re all exhausted. Danalee because she’s been up since 3am ET; me because I did a hilly walk in the the altitude; Clemmie because OMG ALL THE SMELLS
Very productive weekend. I finished weeding & de-rubishing the side yard & hung lights over my porch. I made a lemon blueberry cake & new pasta bake. And I put together a kitchen pantry, which allowed me to reorg my kitchen cabinets. There’s still a few finishing touches to add, but we’re 95% there
Got lectured for spaying Clemmie by someone who desperately wanted this Jar Jar Binks-looking animal to have puppies so he could buy one
Sorry but I’m obsessed with my new philodendron. It’s the first thing I see when I walk out of my door now & it makes me feel like I have a little piece of the hanging gardens of Babylon. Who knew a plant could be so glamorous
The vision realized. Sloat came through & had exactly 2 matching clumping bamboo plants, which we somehow managed to fit in my Yaris. They’re still in their nursery pots, which are in the big planters. I’ll officially plant them this coming weekend, but you can see the vision
Ok, official update to the update now that mulch has been laid & a plant has been hung
I have a dream. It involves this gate and two giant planters of clumping bamboo on either side of that big tree
Oh yeah - Clemmie turned 2 on Friday. She’s officially a big girl (but she’ll always be my puppy 💕)!
New summer project underway - cleaning up my very neglected yard. I started today with the space around my front door. I weeded, raked, swept & filled up an entire compost bin with debris. I remulched the side area next to the door, found a working hose faucet & will put a storage bench there
In a few weeks I’m taking all of the pets to the vet at the same time for their check ups & so, I have purchased this for the cats Yep. I’m officially a pet stroller person
The new cat tree provides options & Kiki is exploring them all. Especially the “sitting on top of Gryphon” option
Cool Memorial Day treat setting in the fridge. Not every one is perfect, but they’ll all be perfectly tasty
Gryphon was born in April & Kiki was born inline, so I thought May would be the perfect time to upgrade their cat tree. They’ve gone full luxury cat condo
View from my seats at Stars on Ice this afternoon. The figure skating crowd skews older than the WAG crowd. There are kids here for sure, but there’s also a lot of adult groups without kids
