The second round of cultists for the Silver Bayonet! These ones are all Frostgrave cultists 2 and 3 from North Star miniatures! I also used some arms from Perry’s miniatures for the musket ones. I am really happy with them.

A set of three miniatures. They are all wearing grey tunics and have white wraps. Two of them are holding firearms with bayonets and the other is holding a two handed pole arm. The one with the pole arm also has a helmet with antlers.

So here’s the first round of cultists for the Silver Bayonet. The five in fancy clothes are from the official line, the other one is a cultist 3 from Frostgrave. All by North Star Miniatures. I really am quite happy with these guys.

A set of random small wooden furniture made for terrain pieces. It includes two larger tables with various items on them, a small table with a crystal ball on it, a cabinet with shelves on it, and a book case. There’s also three squares of cardboard that will become paintings, and various tan colored rectangles that will be made into book stacks, and some misc items.

Just got done working on new ruins for Frostgrave! I know, more ruins, right? But it has been a while, and I got the Wargames Atlantic sorcerer spoils set, so I’m making these frozen ruins using them, to give them a little more life. So here’s some work in progress pics.

A single large terrain piece made of pink foam. It’s of the back wall of a building along with two ruined walls. There is also a portion of the roof crumbled as well.

A set of three smaller terrain pieces made of pink foam. There’s two crumbling corner pieces along with a free standing doorway. They are all ruined and crumbling.

So here are my second round of fish men. These are from Reaper Miniatures and are going to be used for the Silver Bayonet. They are going to be the tougher version of deep ones to go with the last batch of fish men. I am really happy with them.

Three miniatures on bases. The miniatures of are humanoid fish men. They all have yellow beady eyes, and orange and yellow fins on them, and tan bellies. The two on either side have a blue colored skin on them as well, and the middle one has a grey colored skin. The middle one is also adorned with gold headpiece, skirt, and staff. The bases all have water on them along with green stones that match the terrain.

Three more miniatures that are humanoid fish men. These ones all have orange and yellow fins, tan bellies, and blue skin. They also all have water and green sea stones on the bases.

Last piece of terrain made of sea stone for fish men stuff! this one went through an overhaul to be made bigger. I am mostly happy with it, at least happier than the original version. Will be used for The Silver Bayonet and Frostgrave.

A terrain piece with an unpainted mini for scale. It’s a large green colored stone door partially buried in the ground. Along the base of the terrain is some sand as if by the beach, the hill itself is dirt with grass on it. The large door has an octopus relief on the front and a large handle. There are three gold plaques above the octopus.

Let’s try this again. New terrain picture day! This is the statue of Dagon that I plan to use for the Silver Bayonet. It may also see some use in Frostgrave as well. I really am happy with this one.

A large terrain piece with an unpainted miniature for scale. The terrain is a large stone statue of various greens. It is in the shape of a large deep sea fish or creature. In the center of the base is a large crystal and on the head a large pearl. You can see the face having four eyes and some sharp teeth. Along the front are carved symbols.

More of the sea stone terrain for scatter. Using for the Silver Bayonet. This time it’s a couple of idols on plinths. They were a last minute addition when I was making the terrain, but I do like them.

Two pieces of foam terrain for table top gaming with an unpainted miniature for scale. The left one are some small stone bricks stacked with a green colored stone piece on top of that. And then a small golden idol of a fish on top of that. The right one is a larger set of stacked stone with a slightly smaller green stone on top of it. Then atop the green stone is a golden idol of an octopus skull. Both have various small items scattered on the stones, including skulls and candles.

Finished up my current fish men and the terrain to go with them on Monday. (Pictures coming soon!) And now I am working on some cultists for the Silver Bayonet. A combo of s.b. ones and cultists 2 and 3 from Frostgrave. They have only been assembled and partially primed. Here‘s the Frostgrave ones

A group of 7 unpainted grey miniatures. They are wearing various robes and rags and look very rag tag. Two are holding old rifles with bayonets, the rest have various hand weapons.

Second round of terrain from this batch. These two are a slab of stone laying in the ground and the cube! The cube is like a rosetta stone type thing used for translating the writings. It’ll be a good clue marker type thing. Also both have seaweed made from tissue paper on them, I like the effect.

First picture of the new terrain batch! This is themed after fish men and deep ones, for use in the Silver Bayonet. For a custom campaign I’m writing up. These are various obelisks.

A set of five terrain pieces and an unpainted grey miniature for scale. They are all various obelisks. Four of them are shorter and one is about double the size of the others. The stones have strange symbols covering them and some other details on the sides. They are all painted in green colors and have golden sand on the bases.

Ended up getting a decent amount of painting done my current terrain project today. Also painted a little on the minis I was working on as well, that had the same type of stones on them. I’m happy with the result. Though the tall obelisk was done first and I got it figured out better after it.

There is a large statue, a tall obelisk, a cube of stone, and a door sink into the ground with an octopus on it. They are all colored a dark green with some blue and green sponge painted onto it over the surfaces. Then they are dry brushed with a grey to give it more of a stone look.

Then it is dry brushed with both grey and an off white. The overall effect makes the dark green barely visible compared to the terrain pieces in the previous picture.

I got a new cutting mat the other day, my old one was already starting to fall apart. So I went with a tamiya one, the same one I used for like ten years worth of gundam model building. Hopefully this one holds out even half as long as that!

Okay, extended the base of my door terrain a bit, so I can make it look more like it’s buried in a hill. I am much happier with the result now. Also make two plinths to hold idols as well.

Three pieces of terrain and an unpainted miniature for scale. There are two small plinths one on a square base and a smaller one on a rectangular base. Then the other terrain shows a partial black door eith an octopus relief in the middle of it. But it is surrounded by pink foam in the rough shape of a mound.

Round two posting, I guess. Got some more work done on my next terrain project. Got the terrain itself sealed and have been working with green stuff to make a relief for the door terrain and some small idols for some future terrain.

A set of 9 pieces of terrain and an unpainted miniature for scale. There are 4 small obelisks, one large obelisk, a large cube with writing on it, a huge statue with the head of a fish, a fallen slab with symbols on it, and a large half buried door in the ground. They are all colored black after being sealed.

A close up of the door terrain. Now there is an octopus shaped relief on the center of the door. There is also a hand holding a piece of card stock. Taped to the card are three cylinder shaped idols. One has a human skull on top of it, one has a skull with octopus tentacles, and one has a fish tail and head on it.

A work in progress on my new terrain stuff. Some weird and eldritch looking obelisks and other stuff to go with my fish men miniatures. They can be used for the Sulcer Bayonet and both types of Frostgrave.

Seven pieces of foam terrain along with a white plastic part of a large miniature. The two front pieces are large slabs of foam laying flat. One is a large door half buried and the other is a slab with symbols on it. The other 5 in the back are stone obelisks, one is very large and the other four are about half the size. They all have symbols wrote on them.

Two more foam terrain pieces. The left one is a cube with symbols wrote on it. The other is a large statue of Dagon. It’s got a head on the top with a fin along the back and then some foam strips wrapped around it.

Here are probably my three favorite minis I’ve painted, and they are actually through my mini painting career. The knight was like one of the first 20 or so I painted. The giant was last year at some time. And the demon was one of my most recent. All from Reaper miniatures

Three miniatures standing together. The first is an armored knight with a pumpkin for a head. It has black and silver armor and a green cape. It’s covered with glowing green fire on its sword and armor and one eye of the jack-o’-lantern. The second is a large bald giant with a fur cape holding a club. Its skin is light blue with bright blue sigils on it, it has brown colored loincloth and cape. Then last miniature is an octopus headed demon with wings. It’s colored in teals and purples.

This is a test piece for how I think I want to make my tiles for the Silver Bayonet, and potentially Ghost Archipelago. The grass fine turf will be thicker on it, this is only one round of turf so far. But then between the grass and dirt is a small amount of texture paint to tie them together more.

After a bit of a quiet spell on here I finally finished up some smaller fish men/deep ones that I plan to use for a custom Silver Bayonet campaign. I am super happy with how they look The white on the bases is a water effect that will dry clear. The minis are from North Star Miniatures.

A set of five miniatures. They are all humanoid fish men, four are standing upright and one is crawling on the ground. They are colored with greens on their backs and tans and off white on the undersides. You can also see some silver visible in spots to make it look like a sheen of fish scales. They have fins on the back that are color with orange shades. The bases have grass and grass tufts, along with some white water effects on two of them. (The water effects will dry clear.)

A second picture of the same five miniatures, but from above. They aren’t humanoid fish men and found are standing upright and one is crawling. They are colored with green on top and tans on the under side. There is some silver visible as well to give it a sheen like fish scales.

So I want the opinion of some tabletop gamers, I have some minis I plan to use for the Silver Bayonet, but they are slightly too large for a 1” base, but look too small on a 2” one. So do you prefer a smaller base with a large overhang, or just do a larger more decorated base? #nerdlings #miniatures

Two unpainted fish men miniatures on two bases. The left one is on a 1” base and the base of the miniature itself is overhanging the base by a large margin. The right one is on a 2” base and the miniature base fits easily on it but the mini itself looks small on it.

So here are some pics of my two display cases for figures once I filled and rearranged the old and put out a bunch of new. I’m so happy with how they ended up looking. I still have around that many figures that need to be displayed though. But at least more are out now!

A white display case filled with anime and game figures. It’s a homemade case made out of an eight compartment cubby storage shelf. Each compartment has between three and four figures in it. On top there are two large display cases made of plastic, that also have 4 to 5 figured in them.

The new display case made recently out of a shelf. Each shelf has between 6 and 9 figures. As for the figures, three shelves are various hatsune miku figures, along with a couple megarine luka figures. The top shelf is various dandadan figures. And on the very top are two plastic display cases with single figures in them and a lucky cat figure from dandadan.

I forgot to post the other terrain piece that I finished, since I’ve been busy most of the week. Should probably do that, hah. So here’s the barn I made for the Silver Bayonet. The door is magnetic and can put opened to different lengths.

A piece of terrain for war gaming. It’s a wooden barn with a sloped roof and a small fenced in area for animals. There is a single big door visible. It’s got fall colored foliage on it. There is a grey unpainted miniature for scale next to it.

Then i also whipped up this riser for the bottom shelf. I made it out of extra shelf pieces from two dvd stands. It’ll add weight to the bottom to make the whole thing more stable, and also let me fit more into it.

It’s finally done. I just finished up my new display case. I made it out of a cheap Amazon shelf, mdf, and sheet acrylic. Used magnets on one side to access it. This is a project I thought out and bought the stuff for two years ago. And this week I finally managed to get it done.

A 4 tier case for displaying figures. Two sides are clear acrylic sheet and the other two sides are made of mdf board. The shelves are black.

New terrain time! I made these for the Silver Bayonet, a farm house and a coop for fowl. I am quite happy with both of them. Also I am happy I went with a fall theme for my Silver Bayonet stuff, it’s such a fun color of foliage to work with.

Two pieces of miniature terrain with an unpainted grey miniature between them for scale. The left building is a square wooden farmhouse. It has a brick foundation along the bottom and a set of red clay tiles on the cap of the roof. The left terrain piece is a small coop for chickens, ducks, or geese. It is raised off the ground with a small ramp leading to the entrance. Around the coop there is a small fence and some hay on the ground. Both of them are covered with various fall colored foliage.

The same wooden farmhouse terrain from the previous picture, but from the back side of the building. The unpainted miniature is still next to it for scale. The back of the building has a brick chimney going up it. And on the side is a window with closed shutters covering it.

So here’s more Wip pics of my current terrain. They are assembled and texture paint is down. Today I plan to apply the washes and then hopefully tomorrow I can finish them by adding foliage. I’m quite happy with how they are progressing though:

The bottom of the building has a stone brick foundation and there’s clay colored roof caps in place as well. The building itself is made of light colored wood. To the right is a small chicken coop in a 3/4th fenced in area. The coop is made of wood as well and has a small ramp leading to a small opening for the animals to go inside it. The fence is made of interwoven strips of wood.

To the side there is a small wooden fenced in area with a roof over top of it as well. There’s a small barrel sitting next to the fence post.
