Toured Queen Mine. Only my second time in Bisbee and I didn’t understand the importance of copper and mining until the first. Bisbee was once a center of great wealth. The job of a miner was hard and dangerous, but they were mostly well taken care of.

Owls at Cook Park in Tigard this afternoon. Also saw a hawk but couldn't get a good shot. Have seen herons and an eagle here before. Love living so close to this kind of nature.
Took in the gorgeous views at Ecola State Park and then saw a few elk on the way out. Got those shots from my car, as they're used to having humans around and weren't the least bit bothered by me.
I adopted them as a bonded pair from a shelter 3 1/2 years ago. The tabby Devin hides from every human except for me, so I have to take pics so others can see how pretty she is. 😺 Penny's a lovebug. I wake up to this most days.

This week's landscaping upgrades were adding a border with white granite rock garden to cherry tree and having the deck re-stained. Almost ready for summer. 😃
Happy #Caturday from Devin, who forgave me for being away for a week after I bought them a new cat tree. The planter was built and painted by a friend, and I planted marigolds in it.
Meanwhile, poor Devin is missing her dad and doesn't want to deal with their sitter. 😿
