It does seem Sota Nakamura is on his way to Dinamo Zagreb 🇭🇷. Potential of Champions League ⚽️ which would be nice for him. Really sharp intensity, technical player with "wow" moments but issues with consistency & some doubts about how he might scale up to Europe.

Honestly disappointed. Already 23, going to the 2nd division. It'll take a lot for him to keep making the jump up via transfers to a good T5 team. a. Wasn't quite good enough to cement a starting spot in past few seasons b. Nagasaki had difficulty creating a pathway for him

yeah see, this is how transfermarkt can be very biased toward simply being on an European team. you can't tell me with a straight face that two years ago Mikaze Nagasawa & Kotaro Nagata were more highly rated == more highly valued than Ishii, Sato, Kumashiro, etc.!

Interesting to see a Chinese football group on a slightly lower scale (+ more realistic places to send Chinese players i suppose) Fosun (Wolves) & Wanda (Atletico Madrid) have had a few Chinese players but not realistic destinations for 1st team level players yet

yep going from spain + germany in 2022, then facing croatia even though Japan topped that group finally working our way up to Pot 2, getting sweden as the pot 4 team, and this knock out bracket (finishing 3rd means ~80% France/Norway too btw)
