In case you missed it, today, we published a new report ‘Care to stay’, with recommendations to address the crisis facing the social care workforce. The workforce is the foundation of the system. The quality of care depends on the people who provide it. Yet they are struggling.
In today’s new report, ‘Care to stay’, we spotlight @sheffcitycouncil.bsky.social. They recently moved to ‘patch-based homecare commissioning’ approach, dividing the region into 'patches’ and contracting one provider per patch. This new commissioning approach has delivered impressive results.
Today, we’ve published ‘Care to stay’ with recommendations to support the adult social care workforce including: 1 – DHSC should introduce a voluntary register for frontline care workers 2 – the Digitising Social Care Programme should be significantly expanded
