I just got lost on my way...
So I spent the morning looking for cool stuff for the new one. There’s a back panel where you can insert moss, so that eventually the whole wall will be covered in it… I need to be careful not to get too much stuff for them (bit prone to that) but I'll def. get that - it's brilliant.🥰🦐
They’ve all eaten up nicely, so there isn’t a single...bloody.... cloud in the sky. 😭🫠😆

Captured this beautiful Jugendstil/Art Nouveau house while the city was still asleep.
Seems my blueberry snail needs a challenge & flat popscicle shrimp lollies were just beneath her... The way she holds on to the stick & her face just look so silly... 😄 🥰
Started making my own shrimp lollies using popsicle sticks instead of skewers so that my blueberry snail is able to enjoy them too... So far she hasn't figured it out and moves along the glass next to it...guess she's filtering the algae out of the water...😊

I’m still feeling low & I'm not quite sure how to pull myself out of it, but I don’t want to keep this lovely little guy from you. Last week I got myself a small group of short-nose shrimp (Cardinia longirostris). They’re my first shrimp & a cheerful, adorable, almost invisible little bunch.🥰🦐
Well, there were only a few eggs in the little bag (way less than promised), so I was very sceptical - but this little guy successfully hatched after all...🥰

Didn't get much done the last weeks, there are no updates on my thesis - so I haven't been very productive... today I washed the sand of my two oldies (3 kg) & filtered the eggs... look how many there are...I dread to think how many I'll get from the 15 kg dried sand from my former Triops...🤯😊

...And then there were none... Last night, the last of my little oldies died. They were the reason I had to get up, despite all the gloomy thoughts & depression that constantly strain me. I feel really down, but I think that's it for a while with the little crustaceans.

Had to separate my 2 Mongolian Triops today as the big one kept attacking the little one – to console him, he got a big melon chunk for himself. (before anyone complains, this was only a temporary measure until I had prepared the replacement tank – none of my Triops has to live on such small space)
Since someone pointed out to me that if you look onto the 3 eyes of my Triops they look like a 😯-face I can't unsee it.😄 Especially with my new Mongolian Triops as their third eye is just as black as the other two. This is Cookie btw! 🥰
These 3 are my current little chaotic gang - fortunately very friendly with each other, but for some reason & actually untypical for me all nameless...
I wanted to upgrade the tank a bit for my Triops & got them some plants - within 2 days they had destroyed & dug everything up - they absolutely love it... I had separated one plantlet for regrowth & can you see the tiny one at the bottom? My first own hatchling...
