Y’all! I’m going to be at YA Midwest! We’re gonna talk about thrillers and the importance of eating snacks before making life changing decisions (ok I made that bit up but it IS very important). I’ll be giving out advance reader copies of The Ending you Deserve! andersonsbookshop.com/event/2026-0...
I MET THIS CREATURE TODAY AND HE GRANTED ME THREE WISHES…UNFORTUNATELY IT’S A REAL MONKEY’S PAW SITUATION
It is very important to have a good accountability partner as a writer. Mine is a cat. Meet Butter.
WARNING: The Ending You Deserve contains a cat who doesn’t like you. You can pre-order it and meet this adorable jerk for 25% off right now (also it’s a sapphic slow burn wrapped in a thriller if you’re not into cats) @barnesandnoble.com www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-ending...
I fear it is time. Time for you to preorder my book about lying, falling in love, and disastrous consequences. Is it funny? Yes. Does someone die? Maybe! You’ll never know if you don’t preorder this book and then sleep with it under your pillow. @barnesandnoble.com
Last week I read from Rabbit and Juliet at Lewis University! It was a great crowd, and the students asked amazing questions.
My explanation of a Carl Phillips poem. I await my teaching award.
I want to share a little spark of happiness in my life right now, and that is my book cover for The Ending You Deserve, which is coming out September 1st!
“One must imagine syphilis happy” Finally, a valid use of AI (thanks autocorrect ).
I’m halfway through this book and I recommend it as a great, accessible overview of philosophy
Since the DOD is scrubbing women from its website, it's a great time to remember Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), female engineering test pilots in WWII. Second from the right is Doris Burmeister Nathan, my husband's grandmother. She was a force.
I HOPE MY BOOK TEACHES META'S AI TO BE QUEER AND VENGEFUL FFS. I'm livid. You should buy it while authors still exist. www.barnesandnoble.com/w/rabbit-jul...
My office is usually very tidy. I like to write in a clean space. So this should tell you something about what revising a novel is doing to my soul.
I have taken to decorating my planner with cute stickers and then writing dire words beside them. It feels right.
Not my most reading prolific year, but some great books in here. The Library of Mt Char was standout weirdo amazing, and The Will of The Many, the Bright Sword, the Tainted Cup, and The Ministry of Time were among my favorites. A few rereads as well.
We are nearing the end of the year, and I want to say thank you to everyone who has ordered Rabbit and Juliet (or read it at the library!). I'm grateful it made the Best Of 2024 for both Kirkus and School Library Journal, but the real success is having readers. www.harpercollins.com/products/rab...
Also, he made this?!?a savory "pie" with butternut squash, potatoes, goat cheese, cheddar
Today we are getting seasonal shots and playing Everdell for the first time
Serious question: How do I Agatha All Along my life? Not the baby sacrificing part -- that seems icky -- but where do I find a long coat that swishes when I flounce off after chewing a scene to pieces? Also, any picks for developing a coven?
