Damn. Glad we took this show at a roughly 2 episodes/week pace, savoring and chewing on it slowly. This one definitely has its reputation for a reason.
Went to a comedy show with a competition portion a friend was involved in. She didn't win but still absolutely crushed it. Host and feature were pretty good. Headliner was, uh...yikes.
Man if you told me a couple years ago that I'd be in Minneapolis the weekend Summerslam was happening and Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins was on the card, and that I wouldn't care, I probably would have scoffed at you but here we are.

The Star Wars prequels have a lot of odd choices but casting an underreported one is casting Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu. "Yeah, so there's a whole council of these stoic, zen monks. This is the highest ranked one behind Yoda. He's played by the guy who says mothafucka."
He appears to have a moment of clarity when he identifies himself as "conservative, not republican, because they're ALL corrupt billionaires" before going into...how Bill Gates wants you to stop eating meat because of cow farts. From context, apparently this was recorded in 2023, not 2025. Oops.
Never have I seen a more brilliantly "oh fuck you" title drop than in a shitty swords-and-sandals sexploitation film's even worse sequel.
See also: really enjoying this show featuring a Cain-and-Abel relationship that's about struggling to keep a dying niche performance art alive while a major character's death and themes of suicide hang heavily over the narrative.

To be fair, it was a pretendsies wedding they followed with "yeah we can't actually do this" But also, the "villain" was the girl who went "hey so you know this is fucked, right?" and got into a very cathartic fistfight.

Heard the manga was a good way to refresh on #Umineko and had 3 random volumes of it. Went looking to collect the rest and it turns out it's out of print and, uh, expensive. Like $150 per volume expensive. Rather someone who's more of a fan have these. Offering $100 shipped each, or best offer.
