Tremors all the way. One of the ultimate "Good any time, any where" movies. Great script, wonderful effects, excellent direction, and a cast that can't be beat

Robinson (the guy that made Bugs Bunny go "Nyeah, see?")sticks to his classic gangster roots, but this time in a comedy.Can't go wrong with a series of timing errors,mistaken identity,and a room full of corpses,all surrounding a guy just trying to go straight
The Cat (1992) Hong Kong action horror generally means a good time, and this one doesn't disappoint. Totally bugnuts creature effects and a long junkyard brawl between an alien cat and an angry dog make this a must see
Messiah of Evil (1974) Like a dream of a horror movie,one barely tethered to our own reality.Scrappy, no budget, and maybe not even finished, and it all comes together to something truly special.Contains two absolutely stand-out sequences that could go head to head with any horror moment of the era.
The Cremator (1969) Fascism takes many forms, but most all of them come down to boring guys convinced of their own brilliance who don't really need to be pushed hard to starting heading down some very dark paths. See it here in this warped Czech New Wave movie that banished to a vault for decades
The Standoff at Sparrow Creek (2018) Kind of amazing in how compelling this one is, even if it is starring some of the worst elements in society today. Politically charged and tense as can be, it'll really draw you in deep to a web of wicked lives and evil philosophies
Grand Slam (1967) Bit of a Rififi riff, as it were, in it being a classic heist movie with a bunch of shady guys getting together to pull a job. But the production design of this one goes above and beyond, and that mixed with the generally solid crime story set up makes this one well worth seeing
A Town Called Panic (2009) The poster does kind of explain it all here. Absolutely bonkers stop-motion from Belgium that starts with an order of too many bricks and continues through to the bottom of the ocean, center of the Earth, atop a giant penguin robot... well, you get the idea
The Wrong Guy (1997) Genuine crime this comedy isn't getting praised all over the place with the greats of the genre. This is the Kids in the Hall guys coming together to deliver a madcap spree of jokes that have the density (and hit rate) of golden era Simpsons. See it with a group!
The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young (2014) I try to sell folks on this one and they're always incredulous as to how interesting an ultramarathon documentary can be, and by the end they couldn't be more invested in watching the human body be pushed to its limits and beyond
I'm on a study break so I'm gonna do a string of these real quick First up, Fish Story (2009)! In which an asteroid is about to destroy Earth, and only an obscure 70's Japanese punk song can save it... well, kinda. This genre-crossing trip through time is a total blast that I can't recommend enough
